Elvis was born in 1935; in 1968 (the year of the Comeback Special) he was 33 years old.

The first song Elvis ever recorded was MY HAPPINESS. He recorded it in summer 1953 in Sun Studio in Memphis. That´s Allright Mama was the song which made Elvis locally famous. He recorded it in 1954 also in Sun Studio.

I saw him once at Graceland, he was riding his golf cart in the front yard and we were at the gate watching him. I was about 11 yrs old.

I saw him twice in concert, once I was three rows back, and he was kissing girls at the edge of the stage, he was singing "Love Me Tender", and I was with my husband. I wanted to go up so bad but I didn't do that to my husband, and besides if Elvis kissed me I would have had a heart attack right there. Thanks Twano 😍

Lol! He was born in 1935 😂. The song was originally recorded in the 40s. Elvis covered it in 1954 and it became a regional hit in the south. He had 12 number one hits between 1956 and 1960 even though he entered the army in 1958 and was not able to tour or promote his own music in the states. Even with 5 more number one hits between 1960 and 1962 his days as a rock and roll rebel essentially ended after his return from service. When he came back from the army he mostly made movies (not great movies) and did not tour at all. Just 3 live performances in the early 60s. So at just 33 his music career was drying up. It wasn’t dead but it was in serious trouble. 9 years later he was gone

He doesn't care. I've seen a few of his reactions and he has been educated on all of this and still says the same foolish things. He's just doing this for clicks and money so I would suggest not wasting your time. I myself am done clicking on his videos.

@@SusieOrSueOrSusanYup. He's been told in the comments many times when Elvis was born , as well as many other facts. I'm also done. If he keeps on like this, others will unsubscribe. It's a pity, because his Elvis reactions could be really good if he cared enough to remember simple facts. It's not difficult really. Have a great day. I'm outta here. ✌🏻

Maybe, but he has been reposting old videos. Not sure if they are from a defunct channel maybe. And I think it’s been a couple of years. So this is a new video and maybe he doesn’t remember what happened two years ago 🤷♀️. At any rate, I have a hard time passing up a chance to comment about Elvis 🥰
@courtneynairn5088 ай бұрын
@@GrumpyFlyr1995 I think that's one of the reasons I stayed subscribed to this channel for so long. I can't resist watching people react to Elvis and I love to leave a comment about Elvis, in the hopes of answering some questions they may have. Maybe you are right, and he just doesn't remember some facts, but he should brush up on his facts before doing a reaction, to avoid making mistakes. It wouldn't take long, a simple Google search while doing the reaction would have given him Elvis' age in 1968, making him realize that assuming he sang this song when he was 13 years old would not make any sense. Lol. I do wish him all the best for the future, and regardless, I'm grateful that he is helping to keep Elvis' legacy and memory alive by doing these reactions. Shew!! Sorry about that little rant. 😂😂 Hope you, Twano Music Reactions, and the Elvis fans on this channel have a lovely day further. Take care. 🥰

He recorded the original version in 1954 when he was about nineteen. (But the song was one he knew from an Arthur Crudup recording from the late 1940s.). And he was only about 33 here in 1968. He was only 42 when he died in '77.

This song was not something you would "dance to" in the 30s and 40s? The music of that era was tame, orchestrated and mellow. This song first was recorded in 1946 by its author Arthur Big Boy Crudup it was not successful and had a slower more bluesy tempo. Elvis recorded it in 1954, he was 19 years old. In 1968 when Elvis did this song on his TV Special he was 33 years old. Elvis died in 1977 and he was only 42. I would suggest perhaps you listen to a few You Tube songs from the 30s and 40s to get a little more info on the sounds of those decades for your own enlightenment.

You are wrong. The very firwt song he ever recorded in the Sun Studio, was the song "My happiness, in 1953, and paid 4 dollars foe that recording. "Thats all right, mama" was recorded in 1954.
