She knew. At the time he was dating her (best friend?) He was just trying to be nice, but she was worried Dixie (Her friend) would get upset with her for being alone with him. What's your point? At the time he wasn't at the top of his career, I think they were still in high school or he was just finished. I mean I'm asking, just because he was who he was does that mean she needed to accept? I bet she regrets it now, not being alone with him just for a little while. Maybe she was intimidated, I mean he was such a handsome guy.
