You're truly going to LOVE beyond words, Elysian Fields' first album ("Bleed Your Cedar"). I urge everyone to seek it out, purchase it. I guarantee, if you love what you've heard from them thus far, you will most definitely fall for everything contained on that album, too! Thanks for loving EF's music, but especially for uploading the bits you did from the gig. At least those of us were too far away, got a tiny glimpse of all that we missed. Cheers! : )

Tacia Amostis I went on Amazon yesterday, splurged and downloaded all the albums I didn’t have, including Bleed Your Cedar! Wow, what a gem of an album, I don’t know how I didn’t buy it earlier! I don’t have words to describe it, and you were right, I truly love it beyond words! Maybe one day I will devote an entire video to this one album, and not to mention that every album is a gem in its own right, and I love how they make every album their own, though each one is different, they make sure not to deviate from he main core of who they are and what they create, a type of dark wonderfulness. I’m so glad you enjoyed the footage and hope one day you get a chance to see them live, if you haven’t yet! It was a dream come true for me, that’s for sure!

@RavenPoe1849...Well pleased you purchased "Bleed Your Cedar". : ) You are SO lucky to have had the chance to see them play live! I don't think it'll ever happen for me, though - I'm north of the border, in Canada. Last time they played up here, I believe was as an opening act for Peter Murphy (of goth band Bauhaus fame... are you familiar with Bauhaus/Peter Murphy?). Anyway, that was sometime during the 1990s. I don't believe Ms. Charles / Mr. Bloedow have ever been back since. Well, not as Elysian Fields, to the best of my knowledge. Ms. Charles, however, did come up here to shoot the exquisitely beautiful video for the Elysian Fields song entitled "Higher Power" kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqeQqph-pMRkrLM , but sadly, there was no EF gig to accompany this wonderful, truly thrilling surprise. I think I'm going to have to travel in order to see them, but the problem is, that their tour schedule isn't released far enough in advance for me to get the time off work and plan it all out properly. So, that's my situation. Maybe someday the stars will align, only time will tell. In the meantime, I have their albums to cherish. So something EF or JC and OB related is better than nothing. : )

Tacia Amostis Yessss, isn’t Bauhaus one of the pioneers of goth music? So sad to hear that you missed them that one time :-( I will cross my fingers that the stars may align in your favor! 🙏 Words can’t describe how happy I was that day when I went to see them, will always remember! A lot of the bands and musicians I love are quite unknown and small-scale, but their music pack a punch, so it’s more rare to get to see them live, and when they ever come to town, I enjoy it to the fullest and will skip work if I have to, ha ha. I’m in love with Bleed Your Cedar! I could definitely hear a lot of goth undertone, and I wonder if that’s the direction they wanted to take, but at the same time, I love the direction they took, it separates them from other bands that sound alike and have created something awesome! Depending on what part of Canada you are in, they may just decide to do that, do a gig there, after all New York isn’t that far from that side of Canada, 🤞🤞🤞 I’m sure you’re not the only Canadian mega fan! There was someone who flew down to LA from Seattle that night and he said that it was the most expensive concert he had attended, and stayed with his brother that lives in LA, then I saw him post on EF Facebook that it was all worth it, and that them having played this song, Parachute, made it all worth it and exchanging a few words with Ms. Charles was an icing to the cake. But yes, at least we can all still cherish their music through their music we have! One last ting, they played a new song that night that is not on any album, yet, and I feel bad for not having filmed the entire song, but I may have shot a piece it.

@RavenPoe1849... Loved your post, especially the bit about the guy who travelled all the way from Seattle, for Elysian Fields' L.A. gig. Thank you for sharing it with us. Have an awesome day! : )

Wonderful song from the first album. Jennifer's pink dress alludes to the band's latest "Pink air" album.

Артём Гнилозубов Yes, it is a wonderful one! Jennifer’s dress was actually cream/tan, however it does look pink under the lights, interesting observation!

@@RavenPoe-bz7qx Well recorded video. The camera does not tremble, slowly moving from one to another. Thanks.

rhymesauce Yes, I was able to take a full length video of two songs, and this was one of them. The audience kept shouting for them to play this song, and finally they did at the end as an encore. I didn’t know about this song, but really liked it and it appears on their first album. I went ahead and splurged on Amazon today and downloaded all the other albums I didn’t have, ha ha. Glad you liked their music! 👍🎵🎶
