Such a great movie. Love the stylistic contrast between the dirty, gritty Earth and the pretty much "heavenly" Elysium in space.

Missiles with the size of 2L Soda bottle that can leave the atmosphere, which can be fired from a shoulder mounted launcher… That’s something.
@theslicefactor45904 ай бұрын
Well the little missiles are more believable than the miracle working medbeds.
@OZTutohАй бұрын
I found the missiles totally unbelievable at first, but on seeing here how they have a second stage where they slow down from what must be Mach 6 and unshield a slower warhead to hit the ship, that seems much more believable. The pilot ever evaded it.

It's all BS. But in 1780 crossing the Atlantic, in 6 hours, while having beers and watching a 'movie', also science fiction, no?

I'm just gonna say it. Elysium in the film is depicted as a sovereign country. And sovereign countries do indeed have the right to defend their borders.

I would watch a series that takes place on Elysium and the Earth of that time, but with much less cruelty than what is in this movie. By the way, this film's greatest enemy is the full-on cruelty, so it can be watched once. Those who are more compassionate do not need such thought-provoking films, and those who are insensitive to human suffering will not be softened by this either. So it was a shame to make this story for such a sufferer.
