I always love seeing reviews on em cosmetics because it’s so nice to see how the brand has transformed in the recent years after she bought it out from L’Oréal! Thanks for uploading this! It made me realise that I don’t want these, I was so annoyed that I still can’t get Em cosmetics in Europe but I don’t need them even though moonrise seems like a really nice colour. Kind of gave me Urban decay space cowboy vibes even though the shades are completely different. But unless a new shadow formula is really unique, I prefer to stay with the ones I already have.

Yeah.. from what I’ve seen these look very much like the Hourglass Scattered Light single cream shadows( cream to powder I’m not sure but even if that’s the case they still look wet…ish because of the very VERY fine shimmery particles and I have no reason to think these from Em are worth it in comparison..,MAYBE if these were correctly priced at $20-22

Even their shipping in the US is pricey at $8-- I would've ordered one but they're already pricey shadows as is so the heavier shipping fee was a turn off :( I'll wait until I can afford two so I get free shipping haha

Yeah it's such a hassle ordering from overseas. I looked up how much it would cost ordering one liquid blush from Em cosmetics and it amounted to 50 $ with taxes. And on top I would have to pay costum taxes again in Germany. I wish brands would use services like Mansur Gavriel does where they don't calculate US taxes if it goes outside the country.

If you want to try them as an eyeliner, the technique that always works best for me is to start by dampening whatever brush I want to use for eyeliner with a setting spray or face mist, then tapping it lightly into the eyeshadow to pick up the pigment. Or, I recommend holding your setting mist farther away from the eyeshadow, allowing for the color to be lightly misted with the spray, which should help to increase the pigment payoff. @@matildaonvideo Venus and Moonrise. After I used my eyeshadow stick as a base, I put Venus all over the lid and tapped moonrise in the center. I also dabbed a little bit of Bobbi Brown’s Luxe Eyeshadow in sunstone for some sparkle. The overall look is multidimensional and impactful. I highly recommend mixing different textures.

I would recommend videos from violette fr. She‘s got brown eyes and an olive skin tone and also a more natural approach to make up like Matilda. I‘d guess the copper and pink kinds can suit your complexion :)

This are beautiful, but for me i think i have this shades already . I like the idea of a one and done single though. I especially like a powder one and done, more portable when travelling than a glass pot. I used to have midnight cowboy from urban decay that gave a really dewy shimmery finish but i completely panned it. Also finished chanel's scintiliance which i used tonuse for eye opening looks: For now i don't think i will repurchase or get one of this shades. i will keep layering the natasha denona glam shimmers with some dior top coat type shades for more glitz and for the kind of shimmer that is forgiving on the eye.

I wouldn't suggest using a brush with these shadows! They definitely apply best with your fingertips, then maybe a brush if you want to softly blend the edges 👍 I shared some brushes in my previous One & Done Eyeshadow videos x

I definitely have a bigger collection than when I started filming four years ago, but reviewing products is now my job! 😄💄 That wouldn't be possible without press samples and trying new launches, but I do try to strike a balance between featuring old and new products, avoid waste by politely declining most packages, recycle or share some used products with friends, and donate new items to local women's shelters and organisations x

Covered some of this later in the video Joan 👍 I found it creased after about an hour without wearing eyeshadow primer, but it lasted a lot longer with primer. Always difficult to comment on wear time though because everyone's eyelid skin is different and the same product can wear very differently on each person x

Seriously, what set these eye shadows apart from hundreds of others? In whos mind are these dewy? They're basic metallic shine just like any other brand. Sometimes these launches (and reviews) feel like the emperor's new clothes. I would really want to expect something more from these brands; new technology - new something - just not same old eye shadows described with hyped up (new) words. A good example of actually(!) new technology is LH Cosmetics, where upsalite (TM) is used in the powders, and now in dry shampoos.

I mention in the video that the 'dewy' title didn't seem like the right fit for this metallic finish! I do think the texture is quite unique though, as I struggled to find another shadow in my collection that felt the same. For a metallic shadow, I think this shade range is particularly wearable, but you're right - if you already own other metallic formulas, these might look fairly similar on ✨ x
