Well, remixes like these use a trick also used in music recording called "quantization" which, to try to put it in some way, help music engineers place the notes exactly where they have to be acording to the tempo and beat of the song. That way, if one note is off in length or timing, the engineer can just "move" it instead of making the singer re-record.
