That can't be done with the default setting. You would need a third-party app to do that.

Really like your videos. No fluff, just a simple step by step that is easy to follow. I have been trying to send out mail merge emails. The first three work fine and then it stops. If I go into the edit recipients list and uncheck these first three, then the rest will work. Suggestions?

I don't believe that is possible. I think it will show coming from you. What you could test is to do a MM with one email. Make the email your personal email to see what shows when you receive it.

By default, that can't be done with a Mail Merge. You can add the url, but they aren't hyperlinks. It drive me crazy, but that is how it works.

It would have to be same image for everyone, but yes. I can't have one image for one email and a different image for another email.

Hi Chris, Firstly thank you for making this Vid, Its excellent. Couple of things, 1/ I am using a mac, and ended up not having OUTLOOK as default so it didn't show up the Email Merge, :0) that sorted now. When I did do the merge the emails went to draft, I noticed that there was no email address showing, I may have formatted the file poorly, Its an XML I did select the correct column though. Do these need to be CSV or or some other format, Just need to get past this part and Im off and running. Thanks again for your time, Cheers. Malcolm

Hi Chris. Your video was very clear. To be safe I did an initial test email to two email addresses that come to me. Outlook shows that they were sent but they are not coming into either inbox. Should I trust that they were sent and go ahead and send to my "real" email list?

Great! Good diction and speech. I experience an anomaly inserting a logo on top of the word document. The recipient(s) receive the blast with the picture duplicated. Once on top of the message as I intended and a duplicate at the bottom of the message.. ... An test email sent from Outlook, outside of the mail merge feature of word did not give me any problem. I tried with every picture format and I got the same undocumented feature...

I just attended your CoPilot sessions at APC2024/Denver. This video is straightforward, but I need to send a mail merged email with a mail merged Word attachment to a group of people. I have 1 Word doc, 1 Email doc (in Word, I assume), and 1 Excel file. Each person will receive the same email and the same attachment, although the email and the attachment will be personalized via mail merge from the 1 Excel doc. How do I accomplish this?

Microsoft 365 mail merge doesn't allow this until you have a third party app. With a third party app, each participant can get the same attachment, or a different attachment for each person, and you can usually include BCC or CC people on the field.

You need to switch to the email address you want to use before sending out the mail merge. If I have chris@abc123 and chris@xyz and abc is my current default and I want to use xyz, I have to open Outlook desktop, go to File - Account Setting - Account Setting and pick xyz to be my Default address. Next, still in Outlook, go to File - Options - Mail and check to always use default when sending email messages. You have to add your signature to the Word doc. I've never understood why, but that is how it works.

Hi, I have followed each step of your video to the T. When I click on "Finish & Merge", the emails do not send. Any suggestions? I only 'checked' the top 4 records under the row 1 headings to run these first 4 records as a Test. I tried selecting to send the emails to "All" since only the top 4 were checked. I also tried saying only send to records 2 - 5. Neither time did the emails get sent out. Any ideas?
