I'm interested to learn Basque/Euskara... because it's the most interesting language that doesn't have any history on how they exist. (and I find it awesome!) :D
@22fret10 жыл бұрын

+22fret You are right. The basque lady talking at mins.: 5:25 definitely speaks basque with a strong french accent! In return, the Basques of Spain keep their accent quite "pure". What most people don't realize is, that the Castillian Pronunciation (in the nowadays so called 'Spanish'), that "hard tongue" with lots of "th" and other sibilant sounds is in fact a basque heritage, from the days when Castille originated on the north-central mountains and basque was of main influence! Even most Spaniards happen not to know anything about it!

Part of my heritage, though I don't know a word. Still, the sound and cadence is like music. Thank you for this video, it means a lot to me.

It still resembles Spanish a lot phonetically.
@tenzinsangpo22218 жыл бұрын
There are two different sounds depending on where are we, it is, the spanish part or the french one. Because the basque spoken people (we) are in both lands surounded. I will be proud of teaching more about my land.

Actually it is the other way, Spanish language emerged in the same geographical area where Basque was spoken too, so Basque phonetics shaped Spanish's ones.

Bai iragarki polita. Hala ere, errealitatea ez da horrelakoa nire ustez. Euskara bizirik mantentzeko ezinbestekoa da egunero erabili arlo guztietan ze, gastelaren indartsua bigarren mailako hizkuntza bezala usten ari da euskara. Bai, polita da korrika ospatzea, baina gero, jarritu beharra daukagu euskara bultzatzen: kalean hitz egiten, liburuak euskaraz irakurtzen...Gehienok ez dakigu ze izkuntz polita eta aberatza daukagun. Ekin euskarari.

@AEK_eus7 жыл бұрын
