They would not have allowed Emanuel to keep stacking the deck against himself .....maybe take a fight at short notice.....maybe take a fight in somebody else's home ....maybe take a fight with a judge and or referee known for making questionable decision's....maybe take a fight against a very talented fighter with a bright future..... But not all at once! in the same fight every 4 weeks?!?! With a bit more protection Emanuel could have been better respected for his abilities

What a wonderful gem of an upload. In my college years I trained in the gym where he was from (14th St. Gym). I heard stories about how he Augustus would come into the gym, turn on music, then spar to the rhythm. Supposedly he beat the snot out of Etienne a bunch during sparring also

The last time I saw this fight on KZbin .... the next day I saw Dylan Carew at work(Title boxing) and ask him about the fight.... he said it was on short notice ....the next day after that , the fight was off the internet that was like 2 years ago..... Burton/agustus is my favorite boxer of all time and I hate watching his fights and hearing shit talking about his boxing style anyone with a hint of boxing iq can recognize the “clowning” is his fight rhythm as well as a way to intimidate and irritate the opponent it’s also very entertaining to watch considering how masterful it looks

It was literally all robberies, that clowning around was his style, this closed off version of him you see here is not often how he fought, his record should have been like 48-5-2 here, and during retirement 62-14-2, but the judges would rob him on the score cards a total of 24 times in his career.
