Naveed, sorry it took me so long to reply... The answer to your question is yes, it will fit the T Maxx. If you have the old first generation Maxx with the Pro15 engine, you will have to upgrade the axle as the new stuff is wider. but the Maxx A Arms are all otherwise interchangeable. Thanks for watching.

***** Thanks for watching! I'm pretty sure that I used the factory screws. Just watch out that they can't poke the drive shaft when the shock is compressed, or they will machine your shafts for you. I don't worry about them being tight as long as they are in there and not backing out. Any screw head type will do fine.

***** The pillow ball won't be a problem, even if it starts wrong, it will correct itself. the cap will need a little care to make sure it goes in right. just use a good allen and you'll be fine.

Hey can you show a video on installing 17 mm hubs with this rear setup.
@TimTim111111115 жыл бұрын
Are you asking about the wheel drive adapters or the bearing housing. They all just go on there the same. Pull one off and bolt the other on with the stock nut and cross pin. You'll figure it out as soon as you see it.
@lokomono895 жыл бұрын
I believe is the whee drive adapters. I installed the front ones perfect but I have true tracks in the rear and it seems like these don’t let me put the pin through the hole
@williamcrespo4444 жыл бұрын
@@lokomono89 I am in the same boat as you. I was thinking of modifying the new hex to accept a small pin like the stock setup instead of the grub. I did order new left and right driveshaft that are supposed to be longer so well see. If you found a fix please let me know
@lokomono894 жыл бұрын
William Crespo hey I found the solution, true tracks fit with the 2.5r driveshaft. The one with the blue collar. That’s what worked for me

Right, it is just a hole.. The 4 holes on the TRX A arms only do two different ride heights, in the manual they say there are two positions for each ride height for adjusting the truck's roll center. the RPM is actually three ride height adjustments. You can still adjust roll center on the shock tower if you have Traxxas shock towers. If you have the RPM shock tower, then you get what you get. No adjustment, with great durability.

I put the true track in my Emaxx along with traxxas steel cvds and I had to replace the diff cups with Revo TRA5153R. The true track is slightly wider then the stock A-arms and it pulled the dogbones almost all the way out of the cups. Just a heads up If you ever swap to cvds.

I don't plan on using any, I prefer to use the torque control and slipper a little more. Still running on the factory shafts, and no fails. Still it's good tech to know .

I bought mine on eBay for a great price. I like the fact that someone takes the time to help show people how to install the parts. Does anyone know if there is a help guide to adjust the camber on the maxx trucks. They are the hardest trucks to adjust.
@TimTim1111111110 жыл бұрын
Camber is easy!! Reach in through the wheel with a 2.5 or 3 mm Allen (i don't remember which off hand) and screw the pivot ball in or out as necessary. Always be sure to adjust the camber with the suspension under a load in the direction the truck is gonna be leaning since they have a lot of slop in the wheel assembly. I liked to use a old set of rims with the tires peeled off to make things easier to measure. For on road use, start with about 3 degrees positive in the back to help make a little oversteer and about half that amount up front. Push the caster forward for a little more sensitivity in the steering, space down your shocks until the a arms are flat and run around 90 or 100 oil. I never raced one on dirt, just parking lots. I think with dirt tires the same camber caster would be good, just play with the travel and weight for jumps. Try about 75% on the travel, and 70 weight for a starting point.

i love RPM products to bad they dont make much for the jato 3.3..eversence i added a rpm bumper and A arms,(with some aluminum shock towers and bulkhead on ny jato) it has been indestructible..i am going to start work on my tmaxx soon and i will be adding everything RPM makes for the tmaxx on it

Yes, but the RPM parts are indestructible. And the one missing mounting hole has never been a problem for me and I have ran RPM on my MAXX Trucks since about 2003.

I installed this kit after watching this video. however, I can take my rear tires and move them in and out now. not side by side or up and down. almost like the gap between the wheel hub and knuckle is too great. this can't be normal, right?
@TimTim111111118 жыл бұрын
there's a little slop there in the maxx trucks. it shouldn't be much though. how far is the play?
@TimTim111111118 жыл бұрын
wait, are you talking about the upper pillow ball? there should be no play there. make sure you adjust them down where the play is very minimal.
@vincegpking18 жыл бұрын
+Tim Bradbrook no I mean, if you grab the tire and pull it away from the car, then push it back in, then pull it out. the slip joint in the axle shaft will move in and out. like the width of inner to putter bearing is too narrow.
@TimTim111111118 жыл бұрын
+Vince Michelson weird.. I'll check the play on mine and tell you how much I have. there is some but it shouldn't be a hugely noticeable amount
@vincegpking18 жыл бұрын
+Tim Bradbrook well, I mean its not a huge amount. I guess I just expected there would be any lol either way, I'm not super worried, I just use this to beat the hell out of it, not to go 100mph lol thanks for the video though !!

@TimTim111111119 жыл бұрын
Nicholas Morgan Mine are still in service, no issues.that's a weird issue, especially if both sides are doing the same thing. short of super glue getting in them from a angry sibling, or bad rust due to some chemical that got into them, maybe they're getting too tight. are all of your cross pins in place? is there odd wear on the outer seals? Take her apart and have a closer look at what's going on.

I ordered them from the internet somewhere. Maybe directly from RPM's website. You can get them from Tower Hobbies too if your LHS doesn't have them.
