Tiguan has always been a “Mom Car” so the power shouldn’t be an issue for that market… and I’m that market 😂 … 300Nm of torque is fine .. Great Review 🫶🏾

The car isn’t bad, has cool tech -but I still prefer the previous Tiguan R with 235kw. I hope they make the real R in this shape then maybe I can consider letting go my Tiguan R for the new shape.

I obviously wouldn’t buy the 1.4l engine, but I’ve an even bigger issue with the 2.0l that isn’t here yet being detuned. It no longer comes with 162kw 😕 and all in all, I prefer the previous generation. It looks less Chinese and more premium. It screams Tiguan. Most people don’t even identify this as a Tiguan whenever they see it😕

I noticed this doesn't have as many chrome touches as the previous gen. Maybe that's why it feels 'less' of a Tiguan Even the previous R line had chrome touches...

Good review, but you wasted too much time on the seat functionality in the infotainment system. You also didn't touch on fuel consumption in your test drive. You should have also asked VW why the diesel is only available with 4WD - with only 110kW it's wasting fuel and blunting performance for something that hardly any driver of this car is going to use.

I have these cars for like 2 hours in my shooting time, there’s no way I’ll be able to have a good perspective of the fuel consumption, I don’t get test cars to spend proper time with, learn the car inside out, there’s only so much I can do with the time I get with these cars… I don’t get the cars from VW, I get them from a VW dealership, they’re all about sales, they hardly know much about the cars, they merely just sell them… I think people underestimate, the procedures I go through to get these cars and how I review them. Picture this, you’re given the keys to this car for two hours to go review it, where do you even begin to do a full breakdown of a car like the Tiguan, and remember filming takes time, this is not an easy thing to take on, it all looks nice and glamorous on the outside but I’m often working under pressure. I really need more people to understand this. But I’m glad you found it to be a great review 🙏🏽

Eish nice car overall I wouldn’t mind owning one….I mean I can’t take that away but for a Tiguan it kinda feels like something is missing to complete that Tiguan look we’re all accustomed to and it’s ridiculously overpriced 😑😑
