Embarkation Woes Turn Into Suite Delights On Day 1 Of Our Jubilee Cruise!

On day 1 of our cruise, we get off to a horrible start when we leave the hotel on a shuttle bus only to get dropped off at the wrong port, then having to drag our bags to the right port and after checking in, I get picked out of the cruise crowd to be strip searched and they are thorough... But as soon as we got on the ship, things got better quick with a trip to Shaq's chicken, we get in our Excel aft suite, enjoys some food at Rudi's and we set sail for our 7 day cruise on this brand new ship!

The ferry goes to the other side of the channel to baffle point, bolivar peninsula because the drop off point is the beginning of Highway 87 which takes you to Beaumont Texas.

glad yall were able to get that aft suite - i somehow lucked out and got one on deck 9 on mardi gras a couple years ago - that balcony is the best part of it - was AWESOME

how u got the suite sounds similar to how we ended up with one - we had booked mardi gras in 2019 starting with a forward facing balcony. i had switched us to an ocean suite thinking that would have access to Loft 19 - DONT FORGET ABOUT LOFT 19! but was wrong about that so then switched us to a front facing corner suite. the pandemic happened and chaos ensued; wasnt sure if we would be able to even go - ended up switching dates and at various points would keep checking to see if any of the suites would open up - found that port side deck 9 was available online - called to make sure it really was and told them to book it right then. luckily i'd already had the other room fully paid off so the balance wasnt that much more - that plus all the extra time the pandemic afforded us to pay for it really helped lol dont know that i would book one again - if we do it would probably be one of the smaller suites on the side. i know its only ur first day but u will looooove that cabin and balcony!

Strip searched, as in naked? Yikes! I thought suites were ready and available upon boarding. Did they strip you of that, too? Or, maybe I am confused and that's on RCCL. 🚢

well i didnt have to take my clothes off, but I had to spread my legs, lean over table and the guy checked every part of my body, felt me up front side and back....i asked the guy if I at least get a kiss after getting hand f'd.... no we had to wait until it was cleaned, but we did get in the room about an hour before they opened all the rooms up...

Just got off a cruise on the dream and when we got on the boat we got picked to be strip searched bc the dog alerted on us but they searched us didn’t find anything and when we got on my brother forgot a bullet in his bag just one and we got pulled off the ship it was a big ordeal

they got me for a screwdriver i use for my camera....they let me keep it though like they were doing me a favor....

Yes. I passed the drug dog , the dog never moved just went to the next person and the cop with the dog pointed at me and said search him...... I had nothing, but the search was thorough and they checked everything.. including my body parts. Was not happy about it at all

I like Carnival Cruise Line , more then Royal Caribbean : Carnival Cruise Line ships Have Self serve beverage stations , Ice Cream stations / Comedy Club ( Family Friendly and Adult friendly ) / more free food options : Guy Burgers , Pizza joint , deli , Guys BBQ joint - on certain ships. And some free options / Good kid camp with Dr Seuss company partnership / Other good things on Carnival Cruise Line.
