Same here, I think why would my family want to see a photo of me when they see me all the time, be more interested in what I travelled to see, and that is the Guard and Horse, the Gatesman and Chitsman and the buildings of historical interest around London, can see me anytime, just not in a photo, hate having my photo taken anyway, not vain like those women who think they are the future Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell. Besides, I don't want to scare the poor horse who is traumatised enough by the Chinese screeching in the crowd, notice how agitated they get when they are around, so noisy and disrespectful, pushing people out of the way to get photo of their moon faces. Poor horses don't like them at all.

She is MOD police, not a Met officer. She is highly trained to use weapons, especially that in event of a direct threat to the Guards and horses. She likely started her training with the Met but transferred and had specialised training. The Met like other police headquarters around the country have specialised team of firearms officers. In the UK you will never see regular police officers armed like in the USA and some other countries.Armed officers to out as a team and all weapons are accounted for, all ammunition checked the same way. When the operation is over they have to empty the weapons and put them back into the locked box on board the armed response vehicle. Everything has to be signed in and out and thoroughly cleaned when back at headquarters. Watch any police documentary set in the UK and they will explain the procedure. We are not trigger happy here like they are in the USA, relatively peaceful and safe to go a out your daily life without getting shot at. Only criminal gangs carry guns and they usually right it out between rival gangs in inner city areas. There have been a few instances when children got shot and killed by accident, but it wouldn't have been deliberate, just a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time unfortunately, bless their souls.I live in a rural area and never see anyone with guns, I would imagine farmers will be licenced to have one but my neighbours wouldn't be buying them for nefarious intent. Quiet, peaceful area, we have no need.

She is MoD police, not a WPC, She does'nt work for the MET lovey, works for armed Military part who protect the King and his property, guards and horses. Keeps the pesky tourists in their place. Some don't know how to behave in public.they never obey rules or orders either, always pushing it to see how much they can get away with. Not fair on the Guards and horses, known as Troopers who are working. People think this is like flaming Dismeyland and they are actors, they are not, they are trained military personnel and are paid to protect the King and all those who are invited into Buckingham Palace, the MoD police protect all factions, they are there to also protect those on horseback and in the arches, more so those in the boxes as they are not allowed to dismount without direct orders from their bosses above them. No doubt there are plenty who wish they could to deal with insufferable tourists taking the rise out of them and being disrespectful. Wonder how many wished they could dispose of all those dirty, sweaty, smelly hands off their lovely horses faces, who knows what germs they are carrying when they try to sticker their fingers in their noses and mouths. How would THEY like it if someone did it to them? This MoD police lady is best out of them all, she means business and is not afraid to shove tourists to be where they should, behind the bollards. In fact, I think that is a close as they should be allowed to get, stand, take photo and then leave. Peace for the horse and guard outside the gates. For the Gatesman and Chitsman the tourists should not get within 300 yards of them and stop staring and pointing, bad manners. All dumb hand signals should be banned. People like that obnoxious woman should be banned for life.

@@GordonHouston-Smithyes Gordon, they protect the palaces and Windsor Castle. Like it when people ask and I can answer them in a respectful way. One person on another post acted like people were dumb for asking questions, far from it, how you supposed to know if you don't ask? I often ask questions about stuff I don't know, at almost 66 I know a lot, but nothing about modern stuff we have now, especially to do with social media. I don't bother with it anywhere else. I only come on here as there are lots of historical videos that interest me, and have spoken to many lovely people who have same interests. Nothing wrong with asking questions, that's the reason why we went to school as kids, to learn. The bloke who said people were dumb was an absolute bell ended 🤡, certainly no Einstein, made himself look stupid.

Our Kings horses are the most well treated and pampered horses in the planet. They are loved by their guards and police as well as the members of the public the British public know how much honour and respect they are due. They as 're most definitely NOT standing on duty all day but rather for an hour maximum. They have every possible form of care both physically and mentally. When regiments are not in duty they have a wonderful holiday where they are free to run play even swim. Their barracks in London are designed more for the comfort and wellbeing of the horses rather than the guards and those gu as eds wouldn't have it any other way. The horses are the bosses of at any time for whatever reason a horse has a an off day and decided no not doing this and displays determination then both horse and guard go back to barracks whether they have only just come in duty moments ago or only have few minutes left of their hours duty they are replaced these amazing animals are treated like the Kings and Queens they are
