As a conservative, it frustrates me so much that Donald Trump continued to take the bait put out by Kamala Harris. Even though the moderators were blatantly biased, that doesn’t excuse Donald Trump’s poor performance during that debate. I expected way better from Donald Trump. However, I also expected the moderators to be fair to both candidates like they were in the CNN debate. I also think that neither candidate said anything substantially new, which is also one of the reasons why I’m frustrated with Donald Trump. Because of this, I don’t really think that the debate changed anybody’s minds or pushed undecided voters one way or the other. I do think there were two important areas of the debate where Donald Trump won and one of those is the policy debate. Kamala Harris said vague plans that everybody tends to agree with, while Donald Trump gave more specific answers. The other was the body language battle, where Trump had little to no reaction to what Kamala Harris was saying, while Kamala Harris had very exaggerated, and in my opinion, fake body movements which made her seem more on edge than Donald Trump. Other than those two areas, Donald Trump lost that debate, which frustrates me because it should have been an easy win for Trump had he just kept bringing it back to the policy.

The problem with the CNN Mods is that they didn't moderate. They let lie after lie slide. Trump couldn't help himself but say the most overt intense lies in an ocean of lies which were very easily fact checked.

@@TheNathanGalang I prefer a more laissez-faire style of moderation where the moderators let the candidates fact-check each other. It’s my belief that if one candidate lies and the other candidate points out that they lied, the truth will prevail. I think it’s a much more effective way to moderate and that it allows for less bias of the moderators to show during the debate.
