I grew up in Downey and have stayed here as staycations in the 90s; even worked there in the mid 2000s for the Warren High School ROP program ("Hotel Occupations"). It's crazy to see how much it's changed.

It has changed A LOT since I've been there. I was there in the mid 80's use to have a kitchen and a tub. The cost was $105.00 per night.

Wow I’m sure it felt more luxurious back then. I’m not a huge fan of the Ikea style furniture and fake wood floors that they upgraded to because of the hollow feel and echos.

Last time i was there was about 12 years ago. I liked it better then. The rooms now look a lot smaller and less fancy and a lot more expensive

I agree.. this new hollow Ikea look with fake food floors doesn’t feel as classy. The new prices are too much.

How quiet are the rooms?

Nick Durst the bedroom portion was pretty quiet even though one group of people were partying for about 2 hours in the evening on their balcony. The living room section is fairly quiet also but since the hotel has an atrium-style layout, you can hear large gatherings on the ground floor and people eating breakfast in the morning.
