Hi Laura, given not all reports are 16:9 or 4:3, wondering if you have a workaround to specify the dimensions of the embedded power bi content or have the container autofit without producing white space?

Hey thanks for the video, any chance we can get some information about how this would impact Row level security measures?

Row level security would will work just the same as if they went to the workspace. I do need to do more rls videos though

@@HatFullOfData123 Thanks heaps for the super quick response. If I run an RLS structure tailored to each employee from Power BI to SharePoint, will each staff member only be able to see their respective data if we embed it into SharePoint? Ideally would like to run a Power BI report as a SharePoint screen :)

Thank you for your video on embedding a Power BI Report in SharePoint. Do you have any experience embedding a Power BI App in Sharepoint ? Is it possible ? Could it be done with some advanced hacks ? 🙂

By a license do you mean users who view reports in Sharepoint need a Power BI pro license? Not that you need a Pro license when accessing workspaces? I thought when you share a link to them to view reports they just need to be Office 365 users and not need a Power BI pro license, and only the one creating and publishing need it. Please clarify

For anyone to view a Power BI report either they need a pro license or the report needs to be published to a workspace with a premium capacity. It doesn't matter where they are viewing it.

Great Video, I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer for. My Power BI report is embedded on my groups SharePoint and similar to yours, I have slicers (filters) where users can filter data to find what they are looking for. I haven't shared the report with any users yet, so I am currently the only user that can view the report on SharePoint. My question is, once I roll this report out to all other users and said users are viewing the report simultaneously, how will the report act when one user has certain data filtered? Will these filters apply to all other users currently viewing the report, or does each user get their own "session" where they are able to filter data individually without affecting other users who are also filtering/ viewing data?

Each viewer has a seperate session so their slicers, filters and navigation will be for them only

How can I embed my PowerBI report, excluding the public version with the sharing button, in a way that viewers don't need to log in with a pro account?

Viewers of your report need a pro license. There is no free workaround.

I still don't get this, so effing frustrating. I just need my report not to ask to be downloaded and just open in a different tab
