2 points worth of noticing: - non armored ranged units can only counter lyn if they can match the range, same thing for the ring. - lyn being able to attack from safety is insane, celica's ring requires you to have a spot you can jump to.

While it’s true (and good) that the Emblem Lyn Ring only can be equipped by Ranged units, melee units with DC still can counterattack. So just for imagination those melee units still throw their weapon over the whole battlefield or even funnier in case of for example Nidhöggr elongating her tail she slaps us with for an insane amount to counterattack. XP

Also the style thing opens the gates for how they could handle Eirika/Ephraim, Male Robin/Chrom and the 3H Lords, the fact that Emblem Leif could handle different weapons, the different possible terrains of Female Corrin and Camilla or even the Summoning Ability of Emblem Veronica (Reinforcements as a Skill instead of just a structure… wouldn’t that sound funny? :^))

An important thing to note is that the ring only shut down canto's with only remaining mov. Leila's 2 space canto, Sigurds ring, far trace echo and tier 4 trace skills still work with Lyn's ring

Pretty much a mandatory pull. There's nothing coming up next month or so that's comparable, so no use saving. Everyone knows where to use their xmas money 😅 Some "fun" options: - Staff users like hortensia/mloki using glitter of light to flash the entire enemy team from a safe distance for easy pp'ing - nergal safely stealing buffs from all the way in Idaho - deadly miasma users like ivy/lcam who have similar potent damage like lyn or cheatburn damage, who can use miasma to destroy bfrobin's ice tiles and you move in safely (Robin DEAD in 3 months LMAO) - speaking of the dead, niche, but since Firm canto curb isn't that common atm, VLyon can cheese his endturn from the safety distance imaginable - also, positioning is so safe (again, from 5/6 tiles away) so EXTREMELY easy to pad damage output with [dual strike] users wcordy, bcatria, yrobin, etc. This is undoubtedly a mistake, probably one of the top 5 ones in the game along with prime VLyon, LSigurd, etc. Style should at the very least not be usable by AI, but it seems that it is...

Am I the only one who isn't that hyped about her? I feel she is ECelica 2.0 with the same weaknesses as her (dies to Hardy Bearing Far Saviors and can't use Miracle builds nor sweep builds without losing a ton of damage). Her emblem effect is also ECelica 2.0, but unlike hers, it's ranged restricted (there's a reason why Celica ring is mainly used on melee units) and clashes with duo buttons. It will also make Lyn unable to lose future Emblem Styles without losing her own, unlike the previous Emblems. Maybe I am wrong, but right now she doesn't scare me that much.

the fact that your forced to bring saviors means shes kinda a threat and gives savior units more valuability to them given saviors were kinda dying before and no one would use them and just use omnitanks.

@scarletrose8766 ECelica and LMShez already forced saves on us. From my testing, ELyn hasn't been able to kill my saviors. She needs Catria + DR pierce + Miracle support to do that, which at that point, other nukes are better.

@@scarletrose8766 same as with ECelica's ring, except it can also go on melee units, which lead to the current BFelix's reign of terror. If we get a competent magic nuke in the future (or people figure out a way to exploit the current ones), we are all screwed.

I honestly love it when they introduce gamewarping sht like this, just makes you adapt and change stuff around, honestly never gets boring with these emblem releases, these are the banners i look forward to the most. imagine if this was just "another nuke that does a slight amount of more damage then the previous one". That wouldve been so boring and lazy. Now weve got a fkn sniper that youve gota take into consideration when youre building your teams. I LOVE NEW SHT! Makes you start thinking about creative ways to counter the threat. Cant wait what people are gonna cook up with her and her ring.

If this was a player only mechanic, then I wouldn't mind so much. The fact that the AI can use this function annoys me to no end. It's bad enough that we got Emblem Celica and her engage partners warping across the map. Now, they can snipe across the map, too. 😮‍💨

@ they always screw him over. Erika isn’t that great in the OG games but due to one of the developers having a massive boner over the stone twins (confirmed), her FEH iterations have mostly been very strong.

Last straw for me was Emblem Sigurd. Brave Felix + Emblem Sigurd defenses was so hard to counter. Invest some units for months just to get decimated by the latest powercreep.

I was so taken a back with Lyn that I didn't even consider I should be outraged with Style as a new ability. You're totally right, there's no reason the other Emblems couldn't of had a button of some kind, as well. Idk man... They are adding so many 10/10 power heroes now that it does not even scale properly anymore lol With shorts, you can click the short, go to history, click the short there and it is now a normal video. Atleast for me. You can also change the URL the part with "shorts/" and replace this with "watch?v=" to make it a video again. And there might be other ways

This unit makes it possible for Anna to get a literal Ballista alt, or the already existing units in the series that use that type of weapon...or those far range attacks that enemy mages or those Berserker staff enemies have...please IS. PLEASE. Don't make a Berserker status effect in Heroes. It'll snap defense even more than it already is.

I've been able to tolerate a lot of powercreep in this game, but Emblem Lyn is DISGUSTING. Why did Nintendo and IS approve this?! I'm very tempted to just quit the game because of this as she is going to make the game extremely unfun as a result.

Lyn will be the first Emblem Hero I'll own and I have to say, 2024 was an awful year for me in FEH. Ike made this game super annoying and Celica and Sigurd made it unbearable down the line and I'm not even trying to rank high. I can't imagine how incredibly nerve-racking this game must be when actually trying to rank high. Is it even truly fun anymore, specially now that Lyn will probably shake things up even more?

@OfLaSoul Probably IS decided to make Emblem Lyn as a warping nuke unit since in FE7, Lyn is very speedy, or option two IS might have been more engaged on focusing the game into more PVP content. Or opinion 3, since the movement infantry meta space is insane in FEH, I have a feeling that IS wants to release a unit with even more broken movement range.

You said that Lyn can use her style with AoE but that is just wrong. Astra Storm is what gives her the style so if you give her an AoE she can't use the style at all.

@scarletrose8766 Are you sure? The style activates the second turn, and after a couple of turns , you can move 6 spaces again, i don't think the Emblem effect doesn't trigger on a once per turn.

@nobunagaoda9277 you cannot use the style again after you use it the first time even if it's astra style which triggers once per turn I tried dancing Lyn and she never moved but can't use the Astra Style again after attacking with astra style it will disable the Astra Style till next turn.

Also just to be clear we talking about Astra Style (Lyn) or Lyn Style (Emblem Ring) cause theres a difference in how it works Astra Style (Lyn) has no Cooldown it has a once per turn shenanigans going on and cannot be used the same turn even if you danced her again Lyn Style (Ring) has a cooldown of 2 turns 1 range shorter but will also have the same limitations as Astra Style

@scarletrose8766 Oh, okay, I see what you mean so you can use style on a first-time, but it disables the movement space. It triggers on a second turn, and on a fourth turn, you can use 6 space again.
