At 54 years old its obvious that i am discriminated more now than earlier in life. I dont feel i get the same care as younger people.

Psychiatric disability. I guess that this man is right. I read that a woman who tried suicide went to jail because the judge said that if she looked like a criminal instead of a mentally ill person, she would look better. She chose prison. Although jail doesn’t treat people with psychiatric disabilities.

Yes, we teach one another there is a stigma to mental illnesses. We have beocme so inured to teaching it that we we proffer it wihtfeigned innocence.

How can a person who in all likelihood hasn't got a clue how the brain works.. Diagnose me as being any different than the norm... In all likelihood knowing how vastly complex the human brain and psyche are.. He or she is seriously underqualified and or educated to ever make that assessment...

Is homophobia and Islamophobia a mental disorder that can be diagnosed by a psychiatrist or psychologist as defined by the DSM? The reason I ask is the loose use of the term o-phobic is used in todays culture and it is attached to so many things by people. I think this can be offensive to those with legitimate phobias.

i gotta say i am the stigma. everyone claims to suffer but i believe everyone in the world had a chemical imbalance, the imbalance is not a mental illness though it influences them, you can have an imbalance and not suffer from mental illness (meaning you can have the condition but not the problem)
