Wrong information: Kasirye Ggwanga NEVER served in the post-Amin UNLA army. He was unemployed, just before joining the Kayiira force. The beating by the UNLA force of the Kayiiras at Lubiri also resulted in the killing by the UNLA of Ggwanga's older brother, because he, through the process of interrogation refused to disclose the whereabouts of his younger brother. Having singlehandedly opened a war against the UNLA force and killed a number of government soldiers, Ggwanga, then joined the Kayiiras.

You are right......his brother was killed and it forced Kasirye to join any rebel against govt, that how he ended up joining kayira, otherwise he would have joined museveni earlier but because Kayira was not making decision in a rational way, but all in all he joined museveni wen the war was in its final stages of attacking kla, museveni had a high command, political wing and every decision taken was always informed and almost right in it's own way.

Not just that he (Ggwanga) joined the NRA just before the disorganization of the Kampala junta. Ggwanga and "his group" he led co-opted itself into the NRA. After all, Kayiira had joined the junta.
