Heavyweight base cardstock is thicker than the layering weight. Paper is measured in either pounds (U.S.) or grams per square inch, so different thicknesses are referred to as different weights of paper. HTH! :)

R Fatimah Jafri - “Layering weight” card stock (for example 80 pound weight) is lighter than “card weight” card stock which is usually 110 pound card stock. The lighter weight is used as layers on top of the heavier weight card base so the overall card doesn’t get to heavy.

I tried that! And you can do that for sure! But I was winging it and they weren't perfect centered so I thought it I cut them and placed them behind the red, I could get them to be perfect! (Lazy diecutter, hahaha!)
