Lovely! Especially the sparkle effect on each card. I now "need" to buy some of the embossing paste to give it a try. Maybe, this weekend! Thank you. BethAnn

Love this technique. Just purchased my first jar of embossing paste and can't wait to make a card using this technique. I have a group of stencils that I've barely used. Sure I'll use them a lot more now. Thanks for the video.

I love this technique! I was very inspired to play and see what trouble i could find. I have used clear and tinted it with distress ink. I like weathered wood. I have also tried using a little glitter mixed in. I didn't get a good result with just sprinkling it on. By mixing it in, I didn't have any fall off. Thanks for the idea.

Hi Jennifer. My mom was an oil painting artist for many years, and that tool you are using to spread the paste is called a palette knife. Just an FYI. ADORE your videos.

Hi again :-) do you have any tips on how to clean versamark off of stencils? I have the hero arts leaf flourish stencil that is all sticky from versamark. I've tried cleaning it with soap and water, baby wipes but nothing works. And it's tough also because of the intricate design - it snags on baby wipes and I bend the stencil. Can you help please? :-(

Great idea. However, I have a problem with 'spackle' - here in the uk we call it something like Polyfilla. I was careful to buy the flexible type, but find that it is very, very thick and dry. Do you think I could make it more pliable by adding liquid gel medium?

Beautiful cards, and I really want to try this. You say several times to let the paste dry before heating it. How long does it take the paste to dry? Thanks for sharing your amazing talent!

I have a question regarding the embossing powder. Prior to taping the stencil down would it be a good idea to use an embossing/static buddy, then tape and use the embossing paste? I was wondering if that would help any powder from adhering to the paper? Or does the powder only sit on top.of the paste and not get through to the paper? As you can tell, I have not tried this and am very interested in giving it a shot. Thank you in advance for your answer.

Hi Jennifer I used WOW white embossing powder. Waited 10min and overnight to melt it. It didn't have a smooth surface but tiny holes. Is it normal? It was a different heat gun, the $20 one from Joann's fabric. Thanks!

Hi Jennifer, On the Verdigris Card you created, did you go over the paste with Versamark Ink then the powder? Or did you use the powder over the wet paste?
@carolestrawn87557 жыл бұрын
I'm not Jennifer but she used the embossing powder over the wet embossing paste. She allowed the paste to dry before using the heat tool.

I finally used the Verdigris powder today. No paste, just versamark and powder on card stock. I'm not pleased with the results at all. :( I did two just in case the first wasn't a good emboss but both resulted in a dull, velvet-like effect with no sparkle. Not sure if shaking it up a bit before using it was a bad idea but I'm thinking it wasn't since that would do nothing but distribute the parts of the powder a bit more.
@jennifermcguireink9 жыл бұрын
mamamonster what brand powder?
@mamascorpio9 жыл бұрын
Ranger. It sadly looks nothing like what you used on your card in this video....which was my motivation for buying it (no, not blaming you of course!). I saw a Verdigris of a different brand while browsing online but don't remember which one.
