I hate getting nostalgic, but I gotta say, seeing Dave work out of his own house at the 44:00 mark really makes me miss the old vids from 2013-2014 when he had the old Seseragi Studio. It was so peaceful seeing him work on the very first Jed Henry Ukiyo-e Heroes prints with just the sounds of rain, or running water, or birds chirping in the background. Good times.

Hello kind Sir !!! When I watch you using the skew knife for so much of your refined detail work as well as ruffing in , it helps to solidify my knowledge of what a main stay that the skew knife has been to woodcarvers for many hundreds of years or even longer & how far superior it is to the now highly touted Wharncliffe style of knife blade used by the soft woodcarvers of North America !!! Like you , I chose the skew knife blade !!! The real woodcarvers knife of origin !!!

" [...] although, of course, that doesn't extend to the KZbin algorithm [...]." You must be doing something okay, or making the algorithm like you in some way, because I somehow stumbled upon you yesterday thanks to KZbin recommendations and a curious click. KZbin steered me right, yesterday...! :o This is absolutely lovely to watch. Thanks for sharing your artistry with the world. The intermittent ninja attacks are really funny, and are kind of a joyful break from the otherwise peaceful, meditative work. This video was wonderfully put together! As an ex-artist, it's really satisfying to watch someone with such mastery over their craft create art like you are. I've always wanted to look more deeply into printmaking, but never really did beyond a basic overview in highschool I was lucky enough to have, where we made iterative, 3-color prints with a thin square of rubber, so I'm glad you're sharing your work so I can live vicariously through you, if only for ~1 hr. I don't know you/your channel/your studio, but I have a lot of respect for the work it looks like you and your team are doing - bravo!

Also, I think I can guess what the final print is going to be and I'm really looking forward to seeing the final product as well as the following updates of the print. 21:20 Also again, I love the reflection shot being perfectly framed on Dave's window/door of the "bad guy" actor being chased along the road before getting caught by the two kids participating in the Ninja party activity. As always, your insightful explanations are fantastic and it's great that you want to put so much effort into the videos you produce. If you ever want to increase the output though, if for other reason than to feed the KZbin algorithm for more channel traffic, don't underestimate the appeal of simply putting a microphone down by your work and then recording yourself working in silence. What you may think of as boring or repetitive work is for many others the comforting ambience of a master demonstrating their craft.
