On the occasion of World Rabies Day, our school organized an awareness talk to educate students about rabies, its prevention, and the importance of responsible pet ownership. The session aimed to equip students with essential knowledge to protect themselves and their communities from this preventable disease. The talk was delivered members of RABIES TASK FORCE, formed by the school for prevention of Rabies. Dr Anshu Asri Medical officer of the school also shared valuable insights on rabies and its impact on public health. She explained that rabies is a viral disease primarily transmitted through the bites of infected animals, especially dogs.Key symptoms of rabies in both animals and humans were discussed, emphasizing the severity of the disease. Members of task force shared tips on how to avoid dog bites, including recognizing aggressive behavior and approaching animals safely. They also outlined the immediate steps to take if bitten: washing the wound, seeking medical attention, and reporting the incident. Emphasis was placed on the role of the community in rabies prevention, including responsible pet ownership and awareness campaigns.
Inclusive club members also took up the task to educate children about International day of sign language . This way they promoted equality and human rights for differently abled individuals
