I always said as a working single mom with two kids. There’s five things in your life that will never all be done at the same time a clean house laundry clean car caught up at work and spending enough time with family. 68 years old and I worked my entire life finally retired and it’s very hard to get out of the habit of I’ve got to get all this stuff done but trust me when you look back the things that you were worried about a clean house, etc. none of that will matter just the time that you spend together with friends family and enjoying life at 68 years old. You guys are doing it right

You are right about feeling you having too many things to do and not enough time. And the thing I learned when having a small child is that things take twice as long to accomplish. You have to keep stopping to tend to your child's needs. It's a special time!

Yes, we will die and there will be chores to do that we never finished! Sometimes we just need to leave those chores behind and go enjoy a stroll on a beach, see a friend, go out and enjoy life! The rest doesn’t matter! Great video!

As a caregiver for my father, 2 dogs, & 2 cats while working a full time job I COMPLETELY understand needing to put chores aside and take a break to be present and in the moment. I took a day like that last week. It really helps us recharge and take care of our mental well being. Love you guys & love hearing Neo get more vocal!! So can’t wait to hear him start talking!!!!

There will always be more to do. Enjoy the moment! Prioritize family as you generally do. ❤ If it helps, make a “must do” and “may do” list. Keep must do list short. Must dos have to be tackled today. May dos can be done anytime and completed in any order. Helps me especially on days I’m overwhelmed or not feeling 100%.

Fun vlog! Welcome to parenthood and adulting... life will always be full and chaotic... I am 52 and never on top of things and have lists with stuff that never get done😭. I am always just keeping my head above the water with normal life. I never get to do ideas for new stuff because I am always just in survival modus as a single, working mum of two living isolated abroad. Thank you for being honest about the chaos. I have a nearly two year old and recently it’s been a lot mentally I just have to keep telling myself it’s only temporary, to appreciate everyday and to take one day at a time. Raya- Banana and cinnamon pancakes with yoghurt and berries so good and quick adult and toddler approved here 😂 pancakes can be frozen too for batch cooking!

My house is always got 1 room that isn’t clean it just rotates lol I saw something about just timing yourself for 20 minutes and seeing what you can get tidy and then relax after that each night. I don’t do this consistently but it is interesting what my husband and actually get done in 20 minutes.

You both need a time journal for structure, so you can have freedom,I know that sounds counter productive, but it works you will be more productive and have more freedom. Also pack food and snacks for Neo, you lose hours trying to find food to feed him. Make your life easier it takes time to change habits.You'll be amazed by the freedom
