Initially rejected my exes decision to divorce and refused to participate. Once we were no longer living together, I had more space and time to process and became more open to ending the marriage. I had a brief but positive rebound situation shortly after first separating. It was new and it felt good to be desired after feeling alone in the marriage for years. She was a smart, sweet and funny woman but ultimately I was walking around with a bruised heart and was not ready to start a new thing before resolving the old. We had a conversation and mutually decided to end things. For now I'm healing and learning who I am again. The divorce petition is filed and hopefully will be final in a few months. Bless you I hope your situation turns out well.

This is beautiful! I think you ex husband will realize he should have taken the same time. Healing take however long you heart needs. I am glad you stopped doing birthday and other things together.
