Can we please stop shaming people for working jobs in order to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table? You may have the luxury of being able to choose a passion job due to your economic or family circumstance, but not everyone does. By the way, "LAZY GIRL" is such an embarrassing tagline for this segment. No one working a job is lazy!

Having a lazy girl job doesn't mean being lazy at your job. I think Cynthia didn't understand this concept. It's about having a safe, low stake kind of 9-5 secure job that has a good salary but may not be your passion. You can work hard and be good at your job, even if it is a "lazy girl job."

I worked in the service industry for a high-end hotel chain for 16 years + and loved my job for the 1st 10 to 12 yrs but I realized that they couldn't care less about me. Great benefits, decent pay but as they used to say, it was all about " heads in bed". I toughed it out for 4 more more years but lost so much respect for management or lack thereof, I had to leave to save my sanity. Best decision I ever made!

"I love the company, but the company doesn't love Me back." This is also why I'm going to miss You LL. CL, you should have said this before. So, I have worked with women, who were young, and from ivy league schools. Companies have kept them stuck in damn near entry-level positions with promises of promotion that led nowhere. Why, because the promisor has moved on and did not leave a forwarding "address." AB, I hear you about your people and their plight, but this is part and parcel of the corporations' negative impact on society. MG, really? Do you not see what these young people are doing with less? Vacation is not what it used to be, deals, deals, deals. Ps, the title of this is messy for no reason.

I think women should be worried about the societal ramifications of movements similar to this. The last thing women need is employers hiring fewer women because of this.

I love this. And the reason is, I worked a crappy job for years, and what happened my hair fell out in clumps, I gained a lot of weight, and when I asked for help with my mental health, I was told to call some lame telephone number to talk to a life-coach who told me to watch a you tube video. I am going through an abusive home situation right now and when it is hell at home and hell at work, it is just too much. And after a job loss I am back to working a crappy minimum wage job now and I don't care anymore I really really don't.

At the same time by being a lazy girl you're not going to get that promotion to be able to afford those vacations or houses. You'll be stuck because someone else out there will be trying to advance themselves. Not everyone will be OK being lazy and you'll be left behind.
