Embracing the Oil Slick Method: Sink That Glitter!

Recently on another channel (@fourthandbirch9809 channel: / @fourthandbirch9809 ), I saw a few videos on a wonderful glitter application method that embraced the idea of glitter sinking into epoxy and forming a sort of grease or oil spot instead of trying to avoid that look like tumbler makers usually do. So I wanted to see if I could recreate the look and Embrace the Oil Slick. The resin gods laughed at me, but in the end, they were pretty cool about it.

That’s a great option of just sinking the glitter and let it move into swirls….. decals were too cute! I wonder what bolder colors would look like with a bronze or brass accent?

I absolutly love this, its so different, then anything i have seen on tumblers before! It seems so flowy and moving, but also calming at the same time. But i also LOVE glitter, glitter is life to me 😁 I could also see this with a lace on top, and dont know why but in red, black and a silver glitter, and then a lace on top, i know the lace would have to be a water slide els you would loose to much of the glitter under the lace. Well i think it could be pretty, but im also not in to the pastels that is so popular atm ☺ Just a thought. thanks for posting ❤

absolutely beautiful!! What setting do you cut the vinyl on? Whenever I try to cut something with little flower bits like that they are basically shredded and unusable.

Thank you!!! Well, it's an ongoing struggle just based on how worn my blade is, but I'm currently having good luck with cutting on the "premium vinyl" setting and upping the pressure from default to more. Believe it or not the "premium vinyl" setting has a lower cutting pressure (170) than "printable vinyl" (200) - I was surprised to find that out. You can also try the regular paper setting and before you unload, test a corner of one graphic to make sure it will peel up. If not, send it through again. It's such a challenge sometime...
