I really enjoy your videos. One reason is that you two seem to REALLY enjoy seeing new places and sharing your experience with others who can't travel right now. You are living the life, let me tell you. I know these videos are quite a ways behind present time so I hope all is well with you and that you will continue to travel. Take care.

Loved this video. I am 79 years old and when I was 16 we would go to Cloudland Canyon and hike down to the bottom of the waterfall. There were no stairs . We took a lot of pictures, ate picnic lunch and had a lot of fun together. Great memories. If young people today could enjoy the simple things God gives us they would be blessed as we were. Thank you for sharing your adventures. I look forward to the next one.

Ruby falls is unique. I’m 79 and in my 20’s+, while traveling in the area, it seemed that all the barns had an ad - visit ruby falls. It took up the whole side of the barn or roof

"See Rock City" ads have been painted on local (and not so local) barns for at least 60 years. My parents spent their honeymoon in Chattanooga, and remember seeing Rock City and Lookout Mountain - the ads were there back then (1957). We went to Ruby Falls in late May 2017, and were amazed by a) how narrow it was on the tour, and b) how many people they had underground at one time. We had to stop and let other tours go by several time, with more than 15 people in each tour group. The best part was when they turned out the main lights when we were at the Falls. Very cool, and very unique. And commercial. And pricey, but we're glad we went.

Spent time in Chattanooga years ago. What I remember most was a stop at Chattanooga station and a ride thru the yard on a trolley. The guide was very entertaining. He could tell each rider how to get from Chattanooga by rail to their home town in the early 1900s. Also remember Lookout Mountain.

My 11 y/o daughter and i went to Chattanooga right after Christmas 2020 and we did the Incline Railroad and the Ruby Falls also. I agree with you on the cave tour being rushed and I didn't feel it was worth the money. The tour guide was telling us so much personal information that it became quite unprofessional as she talked more about her family than the cave. Honestly couldn't wait for it to be over. We drove to the Smokey Mountains for a day as it wasn't that far away. Loved your video. xo

We had flea and tick medicine that we had to give to our dogs when we lived in the mountains of Northern CA. One of our dogs actually had heart worm and had to go through the treatment. We spent a long weekend with kids and camped at Cloudland when we were still living in CA. We put our sleeping bags in suitcases along with our tent! It was quite an adventure. Glad you had a fun time there. OH MY, you were so close to us! Wish we could have met you.

We did Ruby 20 years ago and with kids it was expensive. I just slowed down when the tour guide kept trying to speed up and we went slow enough to loose them and go with the next group that was going through, much better guide and better pace. It is pretty commercial now, exit is through gift center.

I was living in the Florida keys on big pine key up until 2017 and I moved to Chattanooga a month before Hurricane Irma hit. The house I was living in got 9ft of storm surge. The stairs at Cloudland Canyon are NO JOKE, like a stairmaster on steroids. They sort out the fit from the weak that's for certain an if you go after a rain you can just slide down them from the goo that forms after moisture hits them lol. Next time you come through try Raccoon Mountain and the cave there. Cool & more worth it. Ruby Falls has lost it's luster after so many many years of tourism. The Tn River Gorge is a very nice hike and BEAUTIFUL on a misty morning, it's a long medium intensity hike but worth every step.

Got to love Florida, with the Superbowl Champs Buccaneers (w/ the add on's of T. Brady, 'The Gronk', Antonio Brown, Leonard Fournette, LeSean McCoy, Ryan Succop, & Tristan Wirfs). The great blocking, 'you ain't getting thru' offensive & hard-charging, destroying defensive line. Team has at least 3+ more SB wins (unless the mgt or coaches screw the team up), IMHO. Sorry I got carried away. Oh yeah, enjoyed your vid. also. I love how you both have similar & contrasting views & tastes on your travels. Thanks for the post....

I've been following your adventures and I enjoy the vicarious feeling I get. I don't own a trailer but my wife and I travel a lot; we fly somewhere, rent a car, and explore. Next time you need to see the TN Aquarium (I worked as a guide there for two years) and Rock City (most people think it is much better than Ruby Falls). You may also enjoy hiking at the Chickamauga Battlefield nearby. Ironically, my wife and I just hiked to both of those Cloudland Canyon falls on Monday. The number of stairs is 600, according to what we were told. Can you say tired thighs?!?
