Embraer KC390 Portuguese Air Force in Action

The KC-390 is the Portuguese Air Force's latest acquisition. It is a multi-faceted military transport aircraft for tactical and logistical use, in-flight refueling and fighting forest fires. It can also be used for search and rescue operations, medical evacuations and humanitarian aid missions.
Manufactured in the southern hemisphere, with parts made in Évora (Portugal), this is a platform that, due to its versatility, will ensure the future of the Portuguese Air Force's operations.
The KC-390 is a twin-engine aircraft capable of carrying up to 74 stretchers or 80 passengers.
Easily reconfigurable, with an adaptable cargo handling system and plenty of load capacity, the KC-390 guarantees operability in the most varied scenarios.
It is an aircraft with intercontinental range, endowed with true multi-mission capabilities, thus fulfilling the requirements for participation in military operations that may arise from the alliances to which Portugal belongs, namely the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
This video of Embraer KC-390 was recordd during Beja Airshow 2024. This is the first of five aircraft of this type acquired by the Portuguese State in 2019. Operated by Squadron 506 - "Rinocerontes" (Rhinos) registration number 26901.
