Very nice! You’re knock down stitch was the key to making those narrow letters look great on that type of fabric.

Yup. Dense enough to knockdown and stabize.

Also notice that when you're doing art for embroider, you have backing. Is that needed and necessary?
@adubbproductions Жыл бұрын
You mean the knock down stitch. I only have that their to make the think hat fabric lay down so the text can be neat and legible.

*How Often do you have to do Maintenance on your Embroidery machine?*
@adubbproductions Жыл бұрын
You are supposted to oil your machine after every 4 continuous hours of use (four the needles used during that period. Oil the other components monthly. I honestly oil as needed. I always tell myself im gonna oil after this finishes then I forget and put the next thing on. I probably oil the used needles every two months and the actually moving parts of the head maybe every 6 months. I change the lithium grease every year and a half sometimes longer. Add the drop of oil to the main back shaft every 7 months or so and change the grease in the back shaft cover every two years or so. My maintenace is not on point tbh but these things can take it. When I start to hear a wierd noise I oil up.

What size of hoop are you using and how wide can you actually embroider on that hoop with out having problems.

Love the color combo. I found that cut away is best bc you’re washing those. And I take a ruler to put in between the top and top of the hat to make sure it goes in the same spot. Good video i dont think ill ever wear a little color like that but you know lol
@adubbproductions Жыл бұрын
T town what up. Thank you i appreciate it my guy. I would have applied cut away if there was no knockdown stitch. The knockdown stitch stabilizes the entire area so it will remain stabile even in the wash. Did the same job for this client last year on black beanies and last year’s hats still look amazing, fuzz balls and all embroidery still in tacked.

@adubbproductions knock-down makes sense to not have to. I'll have to test it myself. I just going by the rule you wear it you don't tear it. Thanks brother we always out here learning.
@adubbproductions Жыл бұрын
@ttowntshirts exactly. you are correct. You out of all people are far too skilled to just go by rules. Understand the rules and you can reinvent them. As long as it’s can remain stable doesn’t matter. 👍🏾. Your stuff is to good to blindly follow rules. You should be setting new rules on your own stuff. I’ve seen your work.

Thank you . Encouraged to try my first beanie. How much do you suggest I charge for a design like that? Thanks
@adubbproductions3 ай бұрын
At least $15 per for quantities of 12 and under. More than 12 maybe $13 per but also consider how long it's gonna take you to make them. Do you only have 1 head or do you have 2-4 heads. The faster you can make them the easier it is to produce. One machine you can only give them but so much of a price break. It's a loaded question.

What is your opinion on the topping for the beanies? I just had a 40 beanie order but I used the topping. Do you think the topping is value added? It's more clean up especially with letters
@adubbproductions Жыл бұрын
It really depends on the design and how you are embroidering it. The real key to knowing what to use is understanding what the purpose of using it is. Example, In this case I had a thick beanie and had to embroider very thin lines. In digitizing I decided to make my knock down stitch act as both a stabilizer as well as knock down the fabric so my thin lines can embroider clean. Topping wasn’t necessary. Like you said, the clean up is a pain. I use it when it’s necessary. If I can avoid it I avoid it.
@tamarrahblakeman489 Жыл бұрын
@adubbproductions thanks for the feedback....I just got my machine mt-1501 in October and as you know this is the busy season. So I have not fully sat down on digitizing. I've taking a few Ricoma training classes, but it will be next year before I have the time to really learn and practice. But I love watching your videos. When I ordered my mighty hoop I asked about your affiliate code but its only for a machine. I tried! 😍

I'm sorry, but the text looks terrible! Some of the text letters are touching each other! You should have used a bigger font and more space between the top and bottom letters.
@adubbproductions Жыл бұрын
No need to be sorry to me. I got paid and I personally like her logo. The customer designed their own and they like it, that’s all that really matters. Do you reject customers because you don’t like their artwork or logos? Do you tell them I’m sorry but your text look terrible and give them your opinion on how they should have designed their company logo?
