Yay!!! So glad you are going to do some embroidery. I don't quilt and I learned so much about embroidery from you in the past. Looking forward to more.

I may never get to the point that I quilt over a span of fabric but I still learn ‘stuff!’

I am currently attempting to make a baby quilt for a niece that just had a new baby. I am using the moon and stars quilting backdrop. Let’s hope that it turns out great and worth gifting.

DIME magnetic hoops will ROCK your embroidery WORLD. I have a 6x10 sticky hoop for stiff that needs to be floated or can’t be hooped in the normal way.

Hope you have a fab time at your retreat!!! Question: If you have a quilt sandwich why do you need to hoop no show mesh stabilizer?
@susanmcdonald2856Ай бұрын
Oh, I see now why you were using the no show mesh...great idea...thank you...
@angelamcgovern1525Ай бұрын
When I quilted in the hoop I didn’t use stabiliser, can I ask what the benefit is adding stabiliser
@PowerToolsWithThreadАй бұрын
I was showing how to use it if you couldn’t get a good hooping.

I just wanted to let you know that Janome does have hoops from Dime. I use one for my 11.02 X 18.11 hoop. I just finished a queen size quilt with the end to end quilting. What I did to save stabilizer is I went into my digitizer software and put the design into my hoop twice and I also enlarged it a tiny bit to fill the extra large hoop. It worked great! I enclosed a picture for you see how it was in my hoop. C:\Users\cindy\OneDrive\Coachmen EURO\Desktop\thumbnail_IMG_0347.jpg

Glad you shared that so that viewers can go check the DIME site to see if a magnetic hoop is available for their machine. They don't have hoop for all Janome machines.

I noticed that the design that you will use for the border looked not the same in size. I’m not talking about the design length but the design itself. Am I wrong. The small 4 x 8 looked smaller???
@tammyeaton4791Ай бұрын
Yes, the 4 x 8 pattern scale looks smaller to me.
@PowerToolsWithThreadАй бұрын
The 4x8 is 2" shorter than the 4x10, but the scale of the design is the same. That's the beauty of DBJJ Backdrops.
@PowerToolsWithThreadАй бұрын
It was a bit of an optical illusion because I didn't trim the 4x8 template on the target paper. The scale of the design is the same on both sizes. I'm sure others were wondering so I'm glad you posted. :)

Does anyone know if there are magnetic hoops available for the Janome CM17? It hoops from the left side/outside of the throat.
@kathykumler1542Ай бұрын
Google it. I saw a lot of choices come up for it.
@PowerToolsWithThreadАй бұрын
Yes! Here's a link to it. Scroll to the Janome hoops, then use the dropdown arrow to choose the size to the largest. It shows the M17. Yay! www.shop.dzgns.com/products/snap-hoop-monster-janome-1?variant=40822078898245?p=S1z1p1FgS

I never get the threading of my machine to work like Becky does. The knot won’t go through my machine
@kathyann7153Ай бұрын
If it is difficult to pull your thread then thread machine the regular way.
@PowerToolsWithThreadАй бұрын
Use the presser foot up/down button until the tension discs have released. Sometimes the foot is up but the discs are still closed.
@tammyeaton4791Ай бұрын
An Pellon SF 101 be used in the quilt if one doesn’t have no-show mesh?
@PowerToolsWithThreadАй бұрын
I can't recommend that. If it is ever ironed out, the adhesive in the SF101 will activate. It might cause wrinkles that won't come out.
@tammyeaton4791Ай бұрын
@@PowerToolsWithThread Oh, thanks. Good to know. Too bad I bought a crap ton of it.
