Porsche 997 turbo intermittent starting problem - Fixed

Great video. There was a recall on early gen 1 turbo starter motor cables too.

The problem is with the commutators on the armature of the starter. They were oily/greasy on my friend's 997. I cleaned the commutators and installed a new brush plate and rebuilt the rest of the starter.

Top man, not an easy one to find, people often replace the starter switch, but should always start here......
