Every gereration geht's more hp, and more control. But better? The nicest one is the one that still has hydrolic steering assist. I can't believe they've ditched that. When I drive sportishly in a modern Porsche I freaking hate feeling I am steering digital. Mosly because the rest is so good. But the best? Not even the most fun Porsche. A Boxer S 6 cilinder is so much more fun.

manuals are faster to launch when done correctly as you use both feet while with auto you tend to only use 1 foot. Manual: left foot on clutch right foot on accelerator and then bump the clutch, auto: right foot on brake transferred to accelerator

On the less numerous generations side of things, they've already done the RS6, so maybe an all M5 or something-class AMG race. An all MX-5 race could work, so could an all Jaguar D/E/F-type race. There are so many I want to see

993 all day for me to mate. My dream car has always been the 959 supercar. And to me, the 993 Turbo is the budget friendly version of that. It comes from the air cooled, analog era, but it has the clever 4wd system, an aluminium multilink rear suspension, and things like ABS and airbags. However, the 993 looks better than the 959, and you can daily it with lots of miles. Parts are available and very affordable, compared to the 959.

I personally can't decide between the 964 and the 993. They are very similar but with subtle differences; the 964 has that iconic, oldskool, chonky bodywork and whale-tail spoiler, whereas the 993 takes those cues and makes them a little more curvy and streamlined. Thank you CarWOW 🙌

The 996 with remap, exhaust work and air flow is still pertinent if you get it done. D.M.S automotive will do the lot for around 2K and it will be a missile that will stun new variants. I had mine mapped to a safe 670 bhp with 700nm torque. Wish i still had it, the newer one lacks so much character and is a GT rather than a sports coupe. Viva 996

I chose to do the Taycan Turbo S/911 Turbo S combo. You got cars like the 911 GT3, Panamera Turbo, Cayenne, etc.. you can choose from. You do 1 car you get 1 1/2 hours with it. 2 cars its split 45 min each.

The most reliable sports car out there , both the regular 911 and the 911 turbo . No other brand of super sports car can match the reliability of these cars . The acceleration of the last 911 turbo is still one of the fastest . Porsche will come next year with completely new and revolutionary designed turbos, which pick up even faster and deliver even more power than the current ones. I think that the 911 turbo built in 2023 will be the sports car with combustion engine to beat in terms of acceleration.

Hi there, just a small point. When Matt says 'Mezger goodness' after the revving of the 997.2 he's actually incorrect. The 997.1 turbo had the Mezger unit but this looks to be a .2 which did not use this engine.

For anyone wondering the 991 Turbo S shown in the vid is actually in fact a 991.2 Turbo S, meaning the power figures are incorrect. It has 580 HP, not 560 HP. The latter figure is for the 991, the pre-refresh version of the 991.2.

Huge Porsche 911 fan, and I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite. But it would probably be the 930 or 964 but I love them all, 993's are cool because they stick out in a very early 90's way, 996, the one none wants is still cool as well! There was a 996 Carrera S for sale here for just 20000€ or slightly below a few years ago, if only I had been in a position to strike, I would have in a heartbeat, it was blue. Was waiting for my father sometime mid 90's, an old couple come walking by heading for their garage behind me. They open the doors and inside sits a stunning all black 930 Turbo, will never forget that! They backed it out and drove off... They where probably easily in their late 60's or maybe even 70's if I recall, pretty awesome! :D Might been owned from new, I will never know. Thinking about it, I think Becky's 930 is the winner, it might not be the fastest of the bunch, but yeah, best looking... and thats hard for me to say, such a Porsche fan, I love em all too much! xD Hope this did not turn out too expensive for her! :O

Damn, I was hoping to see the 930 do a rolling start. I drove a ‘79 930 years ago and was surprised by how sluggish it was off the line. The ‘84 Carrera I owned at the time seemed quite a bit faster, until the 930’s turbo kicked in around 40 mph, then all bets were off. The salesman was with me as we drove the hills above the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. At one point he said “you’re going to slow down for this turn, aren’t you?” to which I responded “you shouldn’t distract me right now.” I was well accustomed to my 911’s tail-walk and how to right it but when the turbo dropped in the 930 I knew I needed to learn its personality immediately lest we launch off the road into somebody’s rooftop. Alas, I pulled it through while the salesman did the involuntary three-point-grip-and-stomp beside me. At that moment, above the whine of the engine and the scream of the turbo, all I could hear was the beating of my own heart. Terrifying car. I still smile when I think about it. That was ‘97. After a few days’ consideration it occurred to me if I didn’t learn to drive like an old man in a 930 I wouldn’t live to be one. I was 28, self preservation prevailed.
