Emerald City Disco Nightclub TV Ad, by SBK Pictures from the late 70's or 1980? Located in Cherry Hill, NJ.
In the 90's I did an internship at a tv production company on the mainline, which produced local (Philly & South Jersey) and national TV Commercials. When I had down time, I'd pour through their 3/4 inch tape library of old commericals and copied as many as I could onto VHS. And here we are 25 years later and I'm finally getting around to digitzing that VHS Tape. This was one of THE BEST commercials I found. I'm uploading others so check out my page!

What a fabulous place this was. My wife and I was there in about 1978 and had such a great time dancing to the disco music.....we were good dancers and shared steps with the other dancers. Will never forget such an enjoyable experience. Thanks for the video......great memories!

I'm in that commercial! That's my butt with the bandana when they say "Friday." LOL! I've been looking for it for years! I worked at SBK many years later. No one has the original video! Thanks for sharing.

After 1978 it was turned into a Punk and New Wave club. They had the best concerts ever. Everyone from the British and American punk and new wave bands played there. So sad when it closed.

Emerald City was a great Disco club that lived a very short time, It was a very classy, elegant, stylish club that I had plenty of fun at plus, enjoyed the shows that I saw there and a fabulous time there after my senior porm (LHS 79)

The old Latin Casino reinvented into Emerald City. Frequented EC as well as Valentinos, Someplace Else, Disco World, Chez Paree, Woodbine Inn, etc. Drinking age was 18 years old at that time but I went for the dancing and being with friends and meeting new people.

This club was amazing. I sadly wasnt able to experience it for super long but im grateful for the times i had there. Their closing night was amazing and sad obviously. This was the one place that helped keep the scene alive in Philly. They always treated everyone with kindness and allowed everyone to freely find themselves. As long as no problems were caused then you could do whatever or be whoever you want once you walked inside there. Xoxo Duckiey
