Emerald Princess Cruise Ship Review, A Full Tour of the Princess Cruise Line's Flagship

Sharing my full experience on board the Emerald Princess Cruise Ship by Princess Cruise Line. The Emerald Princess started cruising in 2007, and at one time was the newest ship in Princess Cruise Line fleet. It was last renovated in 2015, so lets take a look at all the options on board. While certain parts of the ship are showing its age, the ship is still makes for a great cruise. 👍Enjoyed your tour, nice to the point no wasted time. Never sailed on Princess, platinum Carnival and ready to go to another line. No issues with Carny except we were not thrilled with the Celebration sister to the Mardi Gras however we did like the M.G better. Carnival needs to expand their ports of call. Cheers🍻

Us too! Hopefully, this cruise will not be cancelled, due to the drought in Lake Gatan... and hopefully, we don't lose too many Ports of Call as they already cancelled Nicaragua due to political unrest.

I stayed in the inside stateroom on Princess and NCL but I felt that Princess inside cabins were so comfortable. It was laid out really well and felt so comfortable. The NCL inside cabin was ok. It was much smaller and just not as comfortable.

Because of covid I am happy the eating utensils were not laid out. Some people love to touch things. I also like that they cut down on amount on the buffets again just because of Covid. So much has changed every where so am not surprised.

On all the Princess ships I've been on, even pre-covid there was always someone there and handed a set wrapped in a cloth napkin to you.

in Huatulco, on the beach at the pier...where can one rent beach chairs , and umbrellas? Is there a public bathroom there? also onboard, what are the casual dining options (the ones with a cover charge , as we have 2 credits for casual dining options... we heard that Salty Dog is now a cover charged restaurant, n ot free..)

On this ship it was a cover. I just got off the enchanted princess, and on that ship it was free, by the the pool. There were chairs everywhere on huatulco - you shouldn’t have a problem. There are facilities everywhere too.

I prefer this class of ship. I sailed her sister Diamond and really loved those huge promenade decks vs the tiny decks on the Discovery & Regal.

Does anyone know if the cabin doors are magnetic? We like to decorate our doors, which make them easier to identify. Our decorations have magnets, but I'll bring tape just in case.

We’re going on Emerald Princess June 1st to Hawaii. I hope they fix what needs to be fix or remodel. Does anybody have an idea how small this ship is compared to the Grand Princess?

@@normanchang7811we just got back from the June trip to Hawaii. It was phenomenal! I would definitely download the app and book your dinner times for one of the restaurants. We did 8:00 at DaVinci's which actually was a good time. You don't always have to go at that time but it prioritizes you when seating if you make reservations for the entire time. Also, have a plan of what you want to do on each island so you don't waste time. Have fun, I would go again in a heartbeat!

It is free, at the Pizza Place by THE POOL, there it is free... but not in the specialty restaurant.
