You should only see the alert on your phone for maybe up to a minute just like every other time they test it and yes it goes off October 4th towers will broadcast it for 30 minutes just like every other mandatory National test that they do every 3 years if you want to watch the 30 minute broadcast I believe it will be on a specific channel

Turn off all your emergency test and notifications on iPhone. Settings, notifications, scroll all the way down and make sure color is not green. On all FOUR tabs. Including the amber alert.

According to a direct source it gives them access your phone & you won't be able to use it for 30 mins! I recommend turning off your emergency alerts! Go to settings, click notifications, scroll down, and turn them all off!!

​@@MartisaRoaneyou can't not turn off presidential alerts. Literally says that on the website from FEMA. If anything, put your phone in a faraday cage/bag or microwave with aluminum foil around it. I guess Heavy duty kind? Nobody will say if you can keep your phone on or off so just keep it on with no sound on. Turn on airplane mode as well. Unplugg all electronics and have earplugs ready to go. I'm just repeating what everyone else is saying at this point. Getting tired of everyone's crap at this point...
