@flght It was a medical emergency with a suspected heart attack. Followed by an ATC tech breakdown. That aircraft left MAN 5+ hours later than it should have done along with 126 other delayed flights but you didn't mention it?

Thanks David, it’s a tricky one this as there’s been several narratives about it. The original diversion was for a faulty smoke alarm possibly related to the IFE system from our sources. The medical emergency seems to have happened after the aircraft landed. Listening to the radio communications at the time, they didn’t want a fire escort for hot brakes ~ indications were normal. They also clarified a couple of times they didn’t need medical assistance on stand. Appreciate the pointers, we’ll try and do better next time. It’s a balance of how much to include when there’s lots of different narratives kicking around. Hope this helps. Rob & Thierry.
