That sucks! The bears here in NJ are no joke! Glad to hear about the sugar free journey. I have been keto now for a year and never felt better, although I will never give up my spoon full of honey each day. I am trying your moisture boards on half my colonies this winter and my usual quilt boxes on the rest and so far they are both working fine. Good luck with your bees and the bear attack colonies. Hopefully the bears are sleeping the rest of winter.

Thanks, James. Glad your journey with healthier living is improving your life. I have never used quilt boxes, but I imagine they are pretty expensive and/ or a little more involved. I really hope the moisture boards continue to do the trick for you and save you time and money. The only thing better than a like and subscribe is hearing that my suggestions are helping folks. Thank you for your continued support and feedback. Be well and be happy.

Thanks for the share. Maybe invest in ratchet straps.

I honestly would not trust ratchet straps. The bear will just destroy the hives to get what it wants. I think my hives fared well because there were no straps. I have heard some pretty bad stories.

@@lakeviewapiary just a suggestion. I don’t deal with 🐻 just 🦨 and 🦝 and strap help.

@@christopherroop4937 lucky you. Bears are both powerful and tenacious. Brutal combination. My neighbor had 1 bust through his truck window to get food.

Nice video.What's the fondant that you are using?
@lakeviewapiary2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Ty! It is from a distributor. They had a couple pallets that had expired and couldn't be sold for human consumption. They researched what other uses for fondant were and learned that beekeepers sometimes use it. They found me online and asked if I wanted it. So they donated it to me.
