eczema is an immune system over-reaction thing, like asthma and allergies, celiac disease, eosinophilic esophagitis... there's a bunch of mostly just annoying problems with that same cause. And if you have one, you're likely to also have 1-2 others. often taking like, a claritin tablet (or the generic from amazon, costs $11 for a year supply) every day, or whatever antihistamine/allergy pill works for you, can do a lot to control some of these symptoms, and keep their severity down when you do experience them
