I hate the Chargers for taking Alt. I hate that we won the game against Jacksonville to lose some spots in the draft. I hate the Giants for taking Nabers. However, I don't hate this pick. Latham is a monster. Did we reach? Maybe a little.

Charles Robinson reported on the yahoo live draft show that Ran would have taken Latham even if Alt was on the board fwiw. So i dont think THEY at least view it as a reach

Alt was the most ready lineman. Lathan has a higher ceiling, younger and doesn't need extreme refinement. If we had the previous staff, I would have been worried. I will trust Bill Callahan and the new coaching staff on this one over a bunch of so called experts.

I’ll trust em I guess, but what I don’t understand is that we are suppose to be more pass heavy next year, so why not take the tackle that better fits our need and that scheme? Yeah Alt was the hope, but Fashanu fits our scheme better and we don’t have to HOPE that he can switch over to LT like we do Latham. I hate this pick at the moment. I hope I’m wrong. I’m tired of always getting the maybe players while everyone else gets the for sure players. Screw the Chargers and their upcoming trash offense.
