What do we do in the case of a 'click' instead of a 'bang' under duress? Randy walks you through his drill that he uses for dealing with emergency reloads. Is this something you guys drill on the range?

Thank you for the counter points for "slingshot" with regards to racking the slide. Also, like the point on just going to pressing the trigger and dealing with at that point, the empty chamber, if you are not sure.

What advice would you offer to improve on off / on cover shooting, and transitioning from the two in a quick and efficient way.

Love the part about responding to the gun rather than guessing what may or may not have happened 👌🏻 Randy, what’s your opinion on using the slide release during your reloading process? Are you choosing to manipulate the slide because it avoids prematurely putting the gun into battery before the mag is fully seated?

Probably that but also fine motor skills under stress.

@@JohnSmith-ei6sc perhaps, although pulling the trigger or hitting a magazine release are also fine motor skills used under stress

Viewers, don't be afraid to train sending the slide home by depressing the slide release lever. Ignore anyone who tells you that that's a fine motor skill that will degrade, it's no finer a skill than pressing the trigger (you train and are expected to be able to do that under stress, right?) and using your thumb to depress the lever is no more challenging or difficult (just more efficient and fast)... also practice getting a better purchase indexing that magazine, both when retrieving it from the mag carrier AND while inserting it into the mag well.

I like those M&P's alot since they fit so well in my hand but also, the quick reloads when you aggressively slap in the mag releasing the slide for you. Seems to work reliably for me.

Really interesting thought on the slingshot point. My service is a big one for making us tap and rack if we have a slam feed, however your point makes a lot more sense

It's called auto forwarding...And most of the time there will one in the chamber, but not always...Ask me how I know.
