First time knowing this. So sad after reading the story. Regina is a broken city, with gangs all around and ineffective policing sources. It is Canada's Chicago, and even far worse. People struggle a lot, everyone in the city. And for those first responders, they cannot get the support they need. The things happen there were never told publicly, and the news around those things in Canada always receive low media coverage. We, Canadians, need to speak up, for our future. Rest in Peace.

People often take ptsd and depression as a sign of weakness when in reality it’s not . We just can’t control our emotions including myself i suffer from depression and suicidal thoughts and ptsd behind losing both parents . I had to wake up and find my parents dead two years apart and it hurts til this day . I use to question GOD why did i have to be the one to find them because now I’m suffering. I tried killing my self more times than i can count . I salute this young king not because he took his life but because he didn’t want to put his family through the stress of having episodes he probably felt he hurt someone behind his ptsd . Maybe I’m wrong i just pray he didn’t suffer during his death and i pray he is at peace and his family and kids are staying strong

Sweetheart, I am deeply sorry for your loss and the pain you are experiencing as a result. I worked as a Chaplain in the EMS in my city for many years and I strongly urge you to go for counseling to help you deal with with your loss especially if you are having suicidal feelings. If you belong to a church, speak to your pastor or an elder or someone you trust. God bless you as you journey through your grief.

He committed suicide after suffering from PTSD. A news article says that he assisted a police officer with apprehending a suspect that was fighting the officer and something must have happened during that incident that gave him PTSD which unfortunately made him kill himself.

@@christopherstevenadams6521 In the UK, our blue light services have access to occupational health debriefings to prevent this sort of thing happening by teaching them coping mechanisms. I am a former cop and, since retiring, paramedics have helped save my life on two occasions. I will always be grateful for their skills and care and, simply, for being there when I needed them most.
