Emergency services rush to EMERGENCY LANDING at Manchester airport!

At around 6:20PM on The 5th of September, emergency service crews responded to reports of a Jet 2 Boeing 737-85P flight which was set to land at Manchester airport under emergency conditions when it squawked 7700 (general emergency) just off the coast of England after it faced an over heating engine. Crews from Greater Manchester fire and rescue service, Manchester airport fire and rescue service, North west ambulance service and greater Manchester police responded to the incident.

There was no undercover police cars in this video! There was 2 senior north west ambulance paramedics/officers and one GMFRS Station manager

Some great catches there. Quite a turnout! But how come a GMFRS Foam Unit or Knutsford’s pump didn’t respond? I know Knutsford are Cheshire, but I’ve seen them at the airport before.

Thank you! I belive the foam unit isn’t on the PDA for anything (with maybe the acceptance of COMAH sites) but with the Cheshire pumps it’s normally Wilmslow.
