I help him with learning German and he teaches me some Ukrainian. I just started learning Ukrainian via your videos and whatever other resources I came across on youtube. I did study Russian in college, and already know the alphabet at least, mostly. I love learning languages, and had always meant to study Ukrainian eventually, so this year with the war and everything it seems like a great time to start. I would love some vocabulary & phrase videos relating to politics, history, war and rebuilding, since my initial goal was to be able to understand more of President Zelenskyy's speeches without needing to read the subtitles so much. Thanks for helping us learn Ukrainian. :)

Inna it touched my heart when you mentioned being lost, I feel how difficult this is for you. You do the right thing, staying occupied, keeping the mind from dwelling on things beyond your control. This situation sucks but it will change and things will get better. We must keep the flame of hope burning bright in our souls. I'm a jazz musician and I'm reminded of a saying that originates from the African American Blues. A music that speaks of courage and perseverance in difficult times, It goes something like this: " They may rob you of everything, but don't let nobody ever steal your joy". Peace and love sweet Inna, stay safe, sunny days will return...Slava Ukraini.

@@TheNoiseySpectator the thing is they are not trying to occupy Ukraine, that is for sure not the goal. They will not quit soon for political reason. They are here to fight so Ukraine will never be part of NATO, unless Europe or United States gave in…. this is the tragic part. What kind of pain do you feel? (Achy, stabbing, throbbing, sharp, constant, intermittent, burning, zaps, depression, suicidal.) Are you confused? Do have memory loss? Do you have shortness of breath? Heart palpations? Headache? Do you need to see the doctor? Are you in urgent need of a doctor? Do you need money? How much money do you need? Do you need help to find your family? Inna you're a very strong person, I have a lot of respect for you persevering and continuing to educate despite these terrible hardships. Teaching others new skills helps make the world a better place so your lessons are a ray of light through the darkness. Ukraine will win this war and the international community will help rebuild. Like President Zelensky said, "Yes, Ukraine WAS beautiful, but now it will become GREAT!" Slava Ukraini!

The material you display on the video goes away from the screen pretty fast. Many language teachers provide a PDF of the lines that they displayed. You write them anyway so if you take a few moments to post PDF of that it would be a good help for the beginners I think I am already intermediate due to my strong background in Russian. There is some 70-80% similarity. Same happened when I learnt Portuguese fast as I was fluent in Spanish. I had picked Korean th e22nd language to be the last one. But in order to help people arriving in Canada, I decided to learn Ukrainian as well and your work is very helpful Thank you.

For anyone who starts without foreknowledge: You may (very likely;-) find Inna's videos about the Ukrainian alphabet helpful! Also: The KZbin playback speed doesn't distort the pitch and sounds in 0.75 relatively normal and, at 0.5, one can pick up difficult nuances!

Inna, thank you for an informative video. On the topic of language, I wanted to provide one note. In some videos you say "100 profit" when in English it sounds more natural to say "100 percent of the profit." I hope that is helpful. Stay safe.

I can't believe you are still doing this while under threat of war! Thank you so much for your dedication. I am currently learning Ukrainian because my mother's side of the family is Ukrainian. Because my grandparents came to Canada well over 100 years ago now, we have lost the language in our family. But your courage and the people of Ukraine have inspired me to learn and uncover more about my family's connections and genealogy. Слава Україні!

I am a pet sitter. The animals have been my savior during this nightmare. Could you share words for animal names and how to say them? I am communicating with a family there and trying to learn Ukrainian and it would be nice to be able to tell them what animals I am speaking about. Besides dogs and cats, I care for chickens, donkeys, horses, cattle, alpaca, sheep and goats. You have been SO helpful to me on my learning journey. Thank you!

Very simillar to polish :D in polish we just have singular form in older slavic language to single person you use plural form. 1. pomóc, dopomóc - help, wam potrzeba dopomóc? Jak ja mogę wam dopomóc? 2. Czy nie moglibyście by mi pomóc. Tak ja mogę wam pomóc. 3. Ambulance i would not quess in polish is Ambulans or Karetka, now i realised that its sounds liek "szybka pomoc" the ukrainian version of ambulance :D 4. Wyklikcie, wyklikajcie simmilar in polish but we use zadzwoń for call Lot lot simmiraties!

Thank you :) I've learned myself what it is to learn a language. First learn what is the sky and the ground and left and right. Then learn to ask help. Learning all the complicated tenses comes after you can actually already speak a little already. It's nonsese to start a language by learning just words in lists with tenses: In Swedish to burn in four used tenses: Brinna brinn brann brunnit, My Swedish teacher told me, if you are going to speak like that to a swede, that fellow would most likely call an ambulance to you, for this one is not mentally well 😅 I really thank you from all my heart for your lessons🙂

Brinna is the infinitive, brinn is the imperative, brann is preteritum and brunnit is perfect. But be thankful that it's not older Swedish with different forms in singular and plural, like "huset brinner", "husen brinna", "huset brann" "husen brunno" etc.

I live in smaller town in central Sweden, and at work I have contact with both Ukrainian and Russian SW developers (The Russians moved to Georgia and the Ukrainian to western Ukraine due to the war), but during previous week we started to get multiple Ukrainan families to our place and they need a lot of support so I appriciate what you do so we are not only in the hands of Google Translate, since it normally handles basic simple sentences rather ok, but more complicated sentences are frequently screqed up.
