im telling you all, thats Midnighter and not Ultraman. In the comics a rich and power guy put together the Authority team and used and manipulated them into working for him. eventually they found out and turned on him and went out on their own. Thats literally Midnighters costume for the Superman and the Authority comic book run. Theres even the cresent moon symbol from Midnighters first costume on that suit. Both Apollo and Midnighter are genetically altered humans, so the "evil" superman will most likely be Apollo. This is why Lex and the Authority are working together in this movie before spinning off into their own movie. They took the comic book origin story or the Authority and put it into this movie.

It even has those little wings on the top of the sides of the "U" like that guy in black has in the film. And since when did UItraman have a cresent moon symbol on his chest? never. It's silver because thats a throw back to Midnighters original costume with the trenchcoat... that version he has a silver panel on his chest with the cresent moon in the middle of it. ;)

That said, adding more color to the overall grade of a film doesn’t automatically make it feel like the "CW." Do you honestly think this movie is going to feel like a cheap high-school romance series disguised as a Hollywood blockbuster, set to launch an entire IP? That’s incredibly naive. It’s clear you don’t know much about filmmaking, and this take feels like just another bandwagon opinion. I've seen plenty of people parroting the same argument, and it honestly comes across as lacking in originality or understanding of the creative process. People who don’t know much about how things are made always seem to have the loudest opinions, and they’re usually, again-naive. More saturation in the visuals doesn’t automatically scream "CW." I do recall, as a kid, dialing into the toll-free phone number in DC comics to get a short podcast sorta thing talking about the upcoming Superman movie. Good thing push button phones had just come out because it sometimes took dozens of tries, even in the wee hours of the night, to dial through. That movie changed my life in several ways, not least because, before it came out, I had my dad buy me stock in Warner Communications (that did exceptionally well while I owned it) and for a couple decades thereafter I had people approach me in public, several times a week, total strangers, to ask me if I knew I looked just like that fellow that played Superman (or Clark Kent, sigh). It actually caused a mass street-wide phenomenon one afternoon when I was out shopping in a Korean city--flattering but embarrassing. Good to see the DC universe might just have a chance to get out in the cool zone again.

I am very excited for the whole DC recasting. I grew up on the 2001 Justice League animated show and fell in love. I rlly hope they go that sort of route, just hope they cast good actors that fit the roll

"Jason Mamoa survived the purge" I think it's probably more fair to say he got fired from being Aquaman and then hired for Lobo. Gunn was getting rid of every hint of Snyder's Justice League, but Mamoa just happened to be the most suitable actor imaginable for Lobo and got hired for that independently of having been Aquaman.

In these CGI movies of the last 18 years Superman blurred instead of flying. It’s a good thing, cause when he was still and visible, always looked like some dude in weirdly altered Superman cosplay.
