This is the first air fryer I have ever owned. It works well kzbin.infoUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB and, if you use the proper supplied silicone tray, keeps the food separate from the oil\grease of cooking. I cooked pizza, hamburger, lasagna, etc all with good results. (I also purchased some paper inserts to cover the silicone trays, just not to have to clean the trays.) Recommended. Just make sure to REMOVE the PAPER INSERT below the air fryer tray before using the air fryer! And yes, I have experienced a bit of an "electrical"-type smell after cooking items. It seems to have gotten less with time and did surprise my nose the first time I smelled it.

Folks! Please read the manual before you use any appliance. The reason that he had to open the for (which lest all the heat out and makes your kitchen hot, is because he put the drop tray on top of the bottom cooking element! I thought that it would be obvious that the drip tray goes on the very bottom, below the bottom heating element, but apparently we cannot rely on people being logical. Read the manual, it very clearly and simply shows where the drip tray actually belongs. Then anything you cook in the wire basket will get direct heat from the bottom heating element, as well as the top heating element, so you don't have to take the french fries out and store them up (and it also keeps all the heat inside so you don't heat the kitchen and you don't lose cooking time. Tossing them halfway through cooking also means that the seasoning that you paid for and expended the effort to put on the fries is being scraped off by the basket so you are literals throwing away 95% of the seasoning that you put on there (that is why he is shaking it over the sink.
@ONBLASTWITHMG3 жыл бұрын
That is true, fixed that little issue.

the air fryer gets the hot air from the side not the heating elements on top and bottom. those will be getting hot for pre-heat.
@PrinceCharmThings2 жыл бұрын
@@bitty5095 The 360 has 5 heating elements. While the side elements are heating during Airfrying, the bottom and top elements are needed during preheating. By having the tray over the bottom elements, the temperature in the oven won't be up to where it needs to be before airfrying starts, which will keep it from cooking right. Also by taking the basket out several times, leaving the door open, the heat is escaping. It doesn't preheat again every time he does that.
@bitty50952 жыл бұрын

You're right, nothing like the ad at all. It would never work to cook all of those items together as it eludes to in the infomercial. However, Is it ever like the ad? Did you read the manual? I have one and it works real well except some items take a little longer to finish. My first use was chicken thighs air fried. Emeril's included cook book suggested 40 mins. I fried for 30-35 mins and came out fine. 40 mins would have made skin crispier. Will do 40 min next time. Like any appliance, including your normal oven, it takes a little trial and error. Convenience and lower energy usage is why I bought it. Can't wait to try rotisserie chicken.

I'm researching air fryers for my daughter, she wants one for Christmas. My observations on this video: Given one is supposed to preheat a regular oven before baking bread, fries, etc it seems reasonable that one should do the same with these small ovens. And please, close the door while you are flipping the fries, you've let all the heat out. Maybe why the fries got dried out. And PLEASE, use REAL cheese not "manufactured cheese food products" on your grilled cheese sandwich!
