Pretty nice! I made a couple emersed cups before. Ammanias and reineckii and the rotalas and s repens. They all did great. After a few months i just plugged em all back into the tank and they grew in fine.

Yeah i have had great success with them as well, not sure why more people don't do thins. A lot less work than having a grow out tank

I used to grow AR, I was cutting back every few weeks and had bags of the stuff. I since became a cryptocoryne collector for the most part because of how much space stem species occupy. Ludwigia super red mini is another that will grow like mad.
@AQUANUT6 жыл бұрын
Oh right on i will have to get me some Ludwigia Super Red, i seen some yesterday and i think it would look great in in my tanks also. its good to know its a great emersed grower also. I still am yet to get me a Crypt though beautiful plants so i know why you are hooked. I really appreciate you watching

That's really cool. I've started to mess with some emersed plants myself and am really enjoying it. Thanks for sharing and as always do what you do if it works for you.

Oh well thats awesome..You should make a video on it, always happy to check out how others set everything up and the plants you are growing.

Either pro mix or fox farms ocean forest I am not 100% sure. Both are great soils though

Hey can u just let me know what is the method u do to grow them...it's really beautiful...
@justbaquatics25126 жыл бұрын
It is good to see this but im wondering will u get melt on them once planted in a tank.....
@AQUANUT6 жыл бұрын
No not really melting but what you might notice is the leaves that grow after being in the tank may not be as red. BUt when you trim your plants and spread them you would never notice that anyways.

How will the plants get access to co2 when its covered? Doubt😓
@AQUANUT6 жыл бұрын
plants produce co2 at night man. Yeah its not like it is on land but they do grow under water obviously look at my tanks lol

Looking great man👍🏻. What’s the PAR from those lights at soil level?
@AQUANUT6 жыл бұрын
Well at the highest point right under the led panel I was getting reading of 130 devide that by 1.32 for a emersed reading and we get 98.4 soil level under the led.

Great video.. i want to try it with buces. How are they going for you?
@AQUANUT5 жыл бұрын
It was very difficult with the buce. You have to go in a water them multiple times a day or they just dont seem to do well. I think i am seeing more growth in the tank than i am emersed.

I spent over 160$ CAD on live plants to put in my BP tank, oh my goodness what a dam mistake ( waste of money ) that was. Both my BP's ( who are only 3" ) tore the shit out of them, the guy at Big Al's should have told me BP's are extremely destructive. Compared to my two baby BP's, my Jack Dempsey ( who is 10" ) is a saint when it comes to being destructive ( and he is bad ) I really don't care because I love my BP's, but who likes to waste money...
@AQUANUT6 жыл бұрын
Noooooo.... Dang Mike sorry to hear that man, BP are not good fish for a planted tank.. But Yeah they are little terrorists in any scape lol when I decorate their tank I literally just throw in their fake plants and I let them do it themselves, it don't matter where I put them anyways LOL. The staff at those stores unfortunately are not always the best when it comes to understanding the fish and each of their needs in the long term. But you could save a lot of them plants as long as you still have a little piece. Throw it in dirt like i did in this video. Setup a new planted tank sometime down the road. It really sucks to waste $160 of plants.
