jmcrawf1 The angle on the 2017 and the 2018 mini’s is lower (the secondary bevel is steeper) than years past.

On the updated version, are they still using plastic washers or are the finally phosphorus?

Michael Montalbano Emerson uses Nylatron washers and it’s part of the design. Like Hinderer using Teflon exclusively, until recently. Both are chemically resistant, tough, are not damaged if they’re mishandled or pinched during assembly, etc If you do prefer PB, they’re easily swapped in. Just hit up McMasters

Alchemy_1 mcmasters what? WhTs the site...? and do you see a issue with plastic washers long term? I want to switch out my benchmade 940 for this but I’ve heard there can be some cc issues. Thanks

www.mcmaster.com/ is Lowes, Home Depot, and every mom and pop hardware store in your area combined and then some. If it is hardware related, Mcmaster’s sells it. The washers aren’t plastic. The Emerson washers are closer to fabric than plastic and the reason Emerson chose Nylatron and Hinderer chose Teflon is because of the long lasting qualities both possess. Both require more time to break in than PB, but that’s it. CC issues? Fit and finish? Overblown internet here say. If you can live with Benchmade’s spotty fit and finish, you’ll find any of the Emerson stuff made in the past decade more consistent and a step up.

C-Note Mac Yeah, the pivot needs a bit of a turn. I just didn’t do it here. The video was already getting long and I didn’t have a screwdriver.

All they did was back off the pivot screw at the factory. Tighten the screw a hair and it will center!
