The ABS mag retainers are supposed to go inside the elastic insert. They work together. The ABs inserts keep the section open and the elastic helps hold the mag in.

FYI: 3 loops insert is for shotgun shells and well smaller stuff xD (markers, light sticks scissors etc.)

its supposed to be Coyote, maybe camera shows more green than coyote
