I bought the Nemo Bikepack 2P because I have a North Face Stormbreak 1 and I feel really claustrophobic in it, so I needed a little more space. But I won't be able to use this tent till I move back to Japan next year. Thanks for giving me a glimpse of how great it's going to be.

I work on the railway and have had a real crap night, but its so nice to come home drink a cider while watching one of you're videos is a great reset and relaxing. I would like to see you do a overnight camping video though 😁👍

British Approved: nice. The biggest thing I have to be desired is connecting the fly: the adjustable straps only on the foot end and having to reach under & hook that little hole onto the bottom of the tent pole. Do you start by connecting the fly at the head end of the Dragonfly (after you secure the spreader pole), then finish at the foot end where the neon green adjuster straps are? I ordered a 1P Copper Spur to compare it with. I paid $305 for the Dragonfly & $335 for the Copper Spur, which says it packs to 17.5 inches, but that said it is not the Bikepack Version. So hard to decide. I will post videos of them as I can. I know: one must enjoy the videography. I have never learned how to make money but enjoy the work & exploring the gear & places to adventure.

Looks like a neat area: thanks. I just tuned in. Evaluting the same tent. I love the color, vestibule & size however the rain fly sould connect with buckles & have adjustments at all four points: a but of a let down for a $300-$400 tent. Additionally: how do you like the fly not going close to the ground? Do you worry about the wind getting under & blowing it away?

Thank you man! I didn't have any issue with the fly at all to be honest, some people are worried about the cut out at the headend, but I did have the tent up in very stormy conditions as mentioned and I never worried about the fly getting blown away. And when inside the tent it did a great job at blocking out the wind, I never had any issues with it being drafty :)

@@oliverkillian the Dragonfly does stay warmer than its competitor the Copper Spur. I have been trying them and must decide which one or maybe just keep improving my hammocks.

I watched the video where this tent was trashed in wind in the UK and it made me shy away from it, but am planning a thru hike in 2022 and would love to take this tent...were you in it for the 30 mile an hr winds and rain?
@oliverkillian3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply, haven't had decent connection for a while! Yeah I was in it through the night when the wind was still really heavy, the only thing I felt was the headend blowing down a little on occasion when the gusts peaked, but I did pitch up wrong so I think if I'd pitched the foot-end against the wind it would've been better. Other than that I wasn't too worried about the tent withstanding the storm. Inside was dry and the tent kept form pretty well, as in I didn't have to re-adjust the fly much :)

Yes it is hard to believe with the fly so high that the wind does not lift up the whole tent. The fly connections are to be desired better: I ordered a Big Agnes Copper Spur to compare. I will put up some videos of the two.

Camping is not allowed on The New Forest along with any BBQ or Stoves. I guess you did not see any of the signs that are all over the roads saying no fires?
